Combining my knowledge of the original music video and the lyrics, the story is quite dark. I just wanted to share a lyrical analysis (in my opinion) of this deceivingly upbeat and addictive song. "No matter if I search our darkest days And no matter if I curse the lack of change These words that dance up across the sky Will not be enough to save you at all" First of all, the overarching premise is that the singer is trying to deal with the pain of losing a loved one. "If I release what I’ve held so tight Then finally I’ll walk on ahead" Whether it was a mutual or unrequited love is up to debate, because you could debate either they loved each other and the singer is grieving while trying to hold onto the love they shared. or the singer only realized their love until after it was too late and is deeply regretting holding their feelings in their heart. "All the future plans, you told me about Didn’t fit into the palms of my hands No matter just how much you tried to hide the way you really felt But though that I could always tell" This leads me to believe that the loved one loved the singer, but the singer wasn't ready to reciprocate until it was too late. "No matter what lies beyond our endless days It’s tearing me up to know you can’t be saved The more my hands tremble as they act The more they fade as they’re drifting away" This suggests that perhaps due to a terminal illness or some other devastating condition that did not lead to immediate death, the singer experienced a powerful sense of hopelessness and futility in their inability to save their loved one. "And try as I might I wish I didn’t know The feelings that I hid away so long ago Despite the fact that you’re not around I hope I can continue to dream" This reinforces the earlier interpretation that the singer had mutual feelings of love that they try to hold onto even after the loss. "I hope we don’t have to say goodbye I hope that some day we’ll meet once again!" This conclusion to the song is what misleads a lot of people to believing in a hopeful ending and an explanation for the upbeat tone. Of course you're free to believe that, but I believe that the ending is a grim one. There is only one way for the singer to join their loved one and meet again: in death. Unable to let go of their feelings, the singer decides to commit suicide while feeling happy and relieved knowing that they will be seeing their loved one. Although this is an extreme interpretation, this is what I think is most accurate based off of the original music video. Feel free to watch the original music video, as it is quite the work of art!

I really love how this song's theme is basically "Doesn't matter if everything went wrong, or Doesn't change, everything is better if you keep going forward" Keina Suda sure is great.-

man this is exactly what I do, always going forward even if I can't find any purpose in my life or importance I still know I'm alive and can experience this world and have all these great things that I want to accomplish even tho society has to make me go through high school to achieve those dreams and try to change the world, even if I can't find my own happiness in these years I know time will cure my disease and give me back the old me that I desire so.
