  • Once, I was on the line and thought I'd mess with the staff a bit while waiting and asked the bell hopper "so how's the hotel business treating you?" She replied, "it has its ups and downs"

When you’re walking down the street and hear the screams from the ride they’re actually not from the ride. There are hidden speakers on the boulevard playing scream sequences to entice guests with fear of the tower and get small amounts of adrenaline pumping before you actually ride the ride.

There’s a silhouette of a man on the way out of the Fantasmic show. If u look at the back of the towers of terror at night, there’s a man looking down at you with a light on in his room. I thought that that was a cool hidden icon.

Imagineers got professional chess players to play the chess game in the lobby and them stopped them in the middle. The position of the pieces actually are in positions where it makes the game never end. I think that’s cool
  • Just another fact. The ride was originally supposed to be 200 feet high, but the Florida building limit is 200. If you go over that you have to put big red lights on your buildings so airplanes don't crash into them. Disney didn't want to ruin the illusion so the ride is actually 199 feet high.

Me: Mom, can we go on the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror? Mom: We have the Tower of Terror at home. Tower of Terror at home: Guardians of the Galaxy
  • To this day, my favorite interaction with a cast member was back in June 2016, when I went to Disneyland the day after I graduated high school. I had one of the “Class of 2016” graduation caps w/ mouse ears, and when I entered the line (it obviously wasn’t Guardians yet), a bellhop told me, “Congratulations, the worst is yet to come.” 😂

In the Florida tower of terror one of the props is one that guests can’t see well but Disney put it in anyway. On one the tables it shows that a lovely couple had just finished their meal. The woman’s side is all neat and tidy with a lipstick mark on her napkin. The Man’s side is all messy and he just kinda left stuff everywhere. Idk why, but I just love that prop so much

My favorite detail is the fact that you never know what will happen in the drop shaft. I’ve only ridden ToT three times so I haven’t even gotten every sequence, and it’s always fun to never know how far or how many times you’ll drop!

Being a travel agent at AAA currently, I can't WAIT to tell my clients booking Disney vacations about that diamond rating Easter egg!

2:15 - Everest beats it by half a foot not half an inch Oh and here’s some cool stuff The “B” on the door at the end of the rude splits into a 13 when the doors open Mark Silverman also said in an interview that he recorded the impersonation in one take When walking out of the park at night look at the tower. There will be one window with the light on and a shadowy figure in it
  • @pugsben6405
when the door on the elevator opens and splits into 2, the B also becomes the number 13.

The thought of just being pulled from the bottom makes me feel a lot better about this ride...

‪This was the first attraction that got me into Parks secrets. When I was a kid, I was way too scared to go on it, but would walk through the queue with my mom just to see all the details‬
  • @heinzyhall1949
Favourite detail has got to be the boiler room! All the tools and plant laying around, the smell and sounds, just great
  • @snowbunny24
It was a long time ago. But does anyone remember when the host would say "Welcome to the tower of terror" the lights would turn on and you would stare at a brick wall before you dropped!

I've actually got 2 neat stories about this ride! 1.) This is the only ride I've been through an in-show exit on before! It was quite a while ago when I was younger, so I didn't have a camera or anything to film it with, but it was certainly cool! Our ride vehicle stopped while about half way through moving through the hallway with all the Twilight zone stuff in it before you get put into the main drop elevator shaft. We just sat there stuck for about 2 minutes or so, then the lights came on. There was an announcement of the ride being down, and after about 5 more minutes or so a cast member came, unlocked the vehicle doors, and walked us back through the hallway and down some stairs to the exit. it was certainly a neat memorable experience! But I always wondered what happens if the ride gets stuck in a way that stops any ride vehicles in the drop shaft. 2.) This one is more recent, maybe 7 years ago or so. I was just outside the queue with my 3 sisters and we saw a couple of "hotel workers" struggling with some luggage. The couple of us that noticed went over and asked if they needed help. They said sure, and all 4 of us picked up a piece of luggage and helped them carry it all inside. They led us through the hotel carrying the luggage a good ways, and after a bit we dropped it off, I forget where exactly. And the 2 of them thanked us, and then led us right to the front of the line. They were so nice!! Please be kind to cast members. I'll never forget that moment of just wanting to help someone out, and how nice and cool they were in return.
