  • I hope you haven't given up on this build. I havent seen a video on it in quite a while and I love the information you provide in them. Heading down pretty much the same path with a RPRR as a trainer for a 6.5 CM RPR that i have yet to acquire.

I shot a RPR for NRL22 for 2 seasons. We have 2...1 I left pretty stock (Timney trigger, arca rail, vortex diamondback tactical 6-24, aluminum tape bedding) for base class, and the other I sunk a bunch of money into (Lija barrel, trigger, different rail with arca cut, pst gen ii 5-25)...shot roughly the same score either way. 'Upgraded' to a Vudoo...and my scores were actually worse the first year because of constant mag issues. Finally got that all sorted out...and I'm still shooting about the same scores I was 4-5 years ago when I was running the RPR lol! Honestly, for as flimsy as the Ruger feels, they shoot well enough for everything we do in NRL22. I still have a BUNCH of discontinued fed gmm .22, and it shoots well enough in the less-modified RPR that the only thing holding me back each week is still ME. But the vudoo gets you more style points. My wife had the Tika T1x (?...the chassis model). She shoots it a heck of alot better than the ruger, vudoo, or CZ. My son loves the ruger. At our club we usually have 1 squad of shooters under 12 with a modified COF. Rifle stays setup with no/minimal movement or positional changes. My boy takes 90% of his shots either prone or off a tripod, even if there is an obsticle in the stage. He has a blast, and he's getting alot better everytime we go out.

Thanks for sticking with this! Definitely a. Contender !
  • I am new to the 22 precision rifle game. I just acquired a Ruger RPR a week ago and am looking forward to taking it to the range. If it shoots as good as my Ruger 10/22 Target Lite, I will be very pleased. Enjoyed your videos on the build on your rifle.Keep it up!
  • @ADKwarriors
Very much looking forward to the continuation of this series. I really hope you continue it!
  • @Dayattherange
Love to see you join the 2023 Dayattherange Challenge with the RPR.
  • awesome channel. I stumbled on here when i was looking at the RPR. I assume your done with the series though. Looked awesome and i would have loved to see it to the end with you
  • Loving the series. I don't know if I would ever compete but the information has been great as I have been wanting to setup a 22lr precision gun. I had been wanting a Ruger for several years and going back and forth on caliber. More recently I see all the videos of the CZ, Bergara, Vudu setups but I love having a chassis and after watching your cost comparison and learning about Base entry level, I love the idea of the Ruger even if I am just plinking at my 100yd range.
  • New subscriber to your channel and now that the Chief's beat the Eagles in tonight's Superbowl, I'm going to watch several more of your .22 series videos. Really good content and well put together.
  • @403lacey
Glad you're doing this series, I'm interested in the lapua testing as well as the tuner. Can't wait to see how it turns out
  • @wisco_guy
I’m really surprised by your results. With mine, I achieved great accuracy with the same ammo you tried, with Center-X and SK Plus(yellow box) shooting the best groups. I did follow a break-in process(from Krieger Barrels) like I do with all my rifles. I’m still tinkering with my Ruger RPR at the moment.
  • I had some pretty good luck with my Ruger precision rimfire with normatec 22 and eleytenx
  • @nrf2009
I've go a nearly identical setup - RPRR with a match-pro scope. It absolutely loves the Center X (.5-.6 MOA groups at 50), but it also shoots the CCI standard very well (.6-.8 MOA groups at 50). The centerX holds much better groups out at 100yards+ but at 50 yards or less the CCI standard has never been the reason I didn't hit a target.
  • @FishOn1
Look forward to the tuning video. Thinking about one for me B14R.
  • @MrConcord75
It’s a contender. Remember it’s not just the tool but also the craftsman. Good luck at the tournament.
  • tried numerous lots, eley club, sport and action , sk rifle match but settled on cci standard, accurate out to 100m also eley action works well for a 40grn round. will see what happens when the arca rail and mdt weights(x4) go on.
