I could use your help in the future. If you'd like to help me decide on which products to test, please consider subscribing to the channel. I occasionally ask viewers to vote on which products to test and YouTube only informs those subscribed to the channel that there's an opportunity to vote. www.youtube.com/channel/UC2rzsm1Qi6N1X-wuOg_p0Ng?s… You'll also need to select the "bell" to get the notification. Thank you very much and look forward to many more product test reviews. Todd

If Ultrafire was selling a car: - it flies, no fuel required, V12 engine, all wheels have electric motor, it can dive into the sea, can reach supersonic speeds, no spare parts necessary... Daum people, please be careful about these little things, they hold great amount of energy and Chinese makers are really dishonest.

Two years after this video is made and its still providing a benefit to humanity. Words cannot describe how grateful I am of your work! Shopping for nebulous items like these have been made so much easier because of you.

I recently was inspired to do my own tests. I found the same results. The Japanese batteries were 10 years old, salvaged from old laptops. After two weeks of testing, they all tested the same and within 80%+ of their stated capacity. The newer Chinese batteries gave me as little as 10% of the rated capacity.

let's take a minute of silence for the quality of the work performed and the quality of the tests. A simple "thank you" is not enough 👏
  • @Sunlight91
So at three times the capacity and about one third the endurance we can conclude that one chinese hour is just 7 minutes long.
  • Years ago I tested an Ultrafire 9800 that came with a cheap flashlight. It turned out to have about 240mAh, and you could almost let it hover in the air, it was so light😁

You are the fastest I've ever seen. you present the facts, and don't fiddle around with un-needed details. You present your research findings and nothing more, with a dash of humor between the lines. Your channel is my absolute favorite. Before I purchase anything I'm unfamiliar with, I always consult with you. Thank you PF, keep up the absolutely awesome work. I would love to be able to do what you do. If you ever need a sidekick or assistant, for testings, I'm volunteering. Please continue. We need you. P.S. I appreciate your honesty most of all.

The no memory effect means you cant remember why the hell you bought them 😂

I watch a LOT of YouTube stuff and your testing regimen(s) are, far and away, the absolute best. Consumer Reports could learn from you.

I would like a hammer test on these. I work in electronics recycling and these 18650 batteries starts like 99% of fires at our factory. I would like to know if some are more prone to bursting in to flames when mangled than others or if it is just dependent on their charge state. If you do test it, do it outside on a windy day, the smoke is definitely not good for you. Also, don't use water to put it out or have a source of it nearby, it not only worsens the fire but it also creates more of the very poisonous hydrogen fluoride gas that is generated by the burning of lithium hexafluorophosphate.

Love a battery with a good SHEEF life that’s also ENCIRONMENTAL friendly.
  • @Mark2ube
I love that you don’t take 5 minutes of content and turn it into a 15 minute video. You keep it moving, and get to the point. Great job!! And I don’t even use these batteries.
  • @1976DTom
Maybe the chinese brands forgot to add a dot. It should not mean 9800mAh, but 980.0mAh ;)
  • @TheMsdos25
Lol, the last rechargeable battery I'd want is one with "fire" in the name.
  • @ultra4e
Thank you for doing this in depth comparison and explaining what the different ratings are & how they affect performance. You analysis matches my experience buying 18650's off of Wish. Their weight was the first thing I realized "you get what you pay for"
  • @loumidis15
The fact that PF replies to nearly everyone on his channel just shows how nice and humble this guy is 😀😀
  • @d.i.l.l.i.g.a.f
Less than a minute in and already really impressed, How on earth did you manage to say 9800mAh for the UltraFire without laughing your ass off
  • Great comparison! I use Samsung 35E cells in my performance rechargeable flashlights, the runtime is pretty impressive! It would be cool to see you test some proprietary flashlight batteries from large names like Olight, Sofirn, Astrolux, etc. and see if they actually stand up to their claims! I test flashlights and would love to include this information in my reviews!
