  • Awesome video bud, I've finally taken the plunge and booked Bali myself for next April SQ, premium economy from Manchester- although connecting flights to Denpasar are with Scoot the layover isn't massive 3hrs but can't wait to see Changi with my own eyes 😍 hope you had an incredible trip!

We flew Premium economy with Singapore Airlines. We did three long haul legs with them in July/August this year I wouldn't waste my money again it was crap. We got the same food as economy and had to go back into economy to use the toilet. The only thing we got for all that extra cost was a bigger seat very disappointing they need to up their game big time. Flew 1 long haul with Air NZ couldn't believe the difference 100% better.
  • I Like The Product Premium Economy,Its A Must For To Have A Singapore Sling.Great Trip Report

Thanks for the upload. Looks like your lunch was the same as economy? On some airlines this is the case. I’m with you on the moving map, it’s the only thing I watch on the screen never bother with the IFE, would rather read a good book.
  • @lukafang11
The amenity kit is included in your ticket but you have to ask cabin crew for it
  • @oslo162
very nice airine but very expensive to fly with them
  • @DinoTamer23
Only thing I cared about was how much the seat reclined and how large it was which you didn't even show
  • How did you find the transiting in Singapore airport? Was your connecting flight with Singapore airlines? And did you have to recheck your baggage? I’m travelling to aus from Heathrow to Singapore and then to Melbourne, just want to know what it’s like :)
  • You should have focused on your compartment more. From what I see its a 2 3 2 configuration and you were in a 2. This makes a big difference as you are not climbing over two people and you have a lot of room between you two. Big nicely padded seat that reclines and extends. This makes for a great flight Should have discussed this more as its at the heart of premium economy. Think Business light. So what does all this mean. You arrive a lot more refreshed and ready to go than if you were in economy.
  • Hi there - thanks for the review. I am looking at booking SIA from a trip from New Zealand to Europe in 2024 and the Premium Economy looks good. Can I ask - do they have a regular drinks service in that class or are drinks only served at meal times?
  • @TheBalkenende
Singapore Airlines really isn’t competitive with their current ‘Premium’ Economy offering. You can’t just stop at installing a better seat. The meal service needs to be a real step up from economy too. Emirates and KLM offer a vastly superior Premium Economy product. I think that back when it was launched, they were afraid of downselling J pax instead of upselling Y pax.
  • If you feel hungry during the flight, have they a snack bar or something similar on premium economy?
  • @Funmap66
Nice video but overall I am not that impressed by the Premium Economy product. I remember they used to serve champagne and meals were presented on real china ware. They have done some cost cutting measures for sure.
  • SIA has amenity kits in premium economy, but you must request them. All in all, the service on SIA has slipped substantially over the past twenty years. They're no longer a first tier airline IMO.
  • I had heard recently that they are no longer a "Great way to fly" and that they are expensive.
