This is actually a cool plane! I'm going on it today :)

No wide-angled shots to give us a sense of how expansive the interior is. Would have been great walking up the stairs and allowing the camera to take it all in. Instead the video was focused on leg room, big laboratory, and window shades that go down at the touch of a button. Where’s the wow?

I have flown on several A380's and other airlines all over the world but strangely i have never flown with BA. They seem to have a lot in common with AA. They get you from A to B that's the main thing

2:43 "But remember, one person to a lavatory at any one time": (as if we needed to be reminded.) That's VERY Daily Telegraph-ish.

BA has used the A380 the way it was built to be used. I think Airbus wanted the plane to be used as more of a workhorse and utilised for carrying large amount of passengers rather than putting in ridiculous amenities that nobody needs or certainly needed before and installing overly extravagant luxurious first class suites that only oil cartels with more money than sense of the middle east can afford.

How did you fit a refrigerator there to film that? Wouldn't be easier to bring some kind of camera, instead?

I've flown the A380s on Qatar Airways and Emirates in business. I have to say BA has a lot of catching up to do. Many airlines are using the model as their flag vessel and are going out of their way to push their brand as such. I agree the whole business class configuration in British Airways is wrong. It should be 1-2-1 in the A380. The fact that many airlines have this in their business class product is saying something. The whole climbing over someone else's feet in business class if you occupy a window seat is now old hat. The competitive airlines have the bar for premium classes and it's a very good way to stretch your feet and socialise with other travellers, you'd be surprised at how quickly time flies on a long haul flight. Having said that I think BA's service is still very good but they do have to work on their planes some of which are quite old by now. Again, they need to make their business 1-2-1 at least on the A380 business class if they are to seriously compete.

BA's colors, these days, create the coldest looking atmospheres.

You could almost hold a squash tournament in the upper lav.

To me, the A380, while it’s a fantastic piece of engineering, I just won’t like it better than my dear mother and friend from the sky, the Boeing 747. I know A380 fans will taunt me, but I will always stand by my Queen, even at retirement.
