I like to walk in the morning because it gives me a feeling of accomplishment which sets a nice tone for the day. Kind of like making the bed.

Perhaps the best time, is when you have the time. The main thing is to just get out and walk, and leave the car keys at home.

So if you are confused: walk in the morning, walk after lunch and walk after diner :)

Newtons First law. Also, I walk 10,000 steps a day and have cured my blood pressure issue from it. I walk after my lunch and I walk before my dinner just a personally choice. But the real best time is when you will actually do it.
  • I started back walking with two of my neighbors at 630 am. One of the ladies is 74 the other 79 i am 66. We go 2 plus miles t/th/s/s. Didnt think about walking in the evening for blood pressure. Dont have a problem with that but i just might start walking a mile in the evening. Thank you for the information
  • Sir Isaac Newton's first law of motion. "An object at rest remains at rest, or if in motion, remains in motion at a constant velocity unless acted on by a net external force." If type 2 diabetic walking 10 minutes after each meal is more beneficial than one long after dinner. As per UCLA Health "Even a five-minute walk after eating a meal had a measurable effect on moderating blood sugar levels. The beneficial effect of walking was observed during a 60- to 90-minute window following the meal. For people who took a walk during that time, changes to blood sugar were not only less extreme, but also occurred more gradually."

In England, with the older generations, going for a walk after a meal was a tradition.

I had to watch this twice 😊 ... the first time I was too busy giggling at the wonderful interaction between you and your adorable wife .
  • I always walk 2-3 miles every morning after I walk my dog. By the end of the day I walked 7-8 miles for the day. This is how I keep my weight under 150.😁
  • We walk morning and night after dinner with a full belly of food. According to our Apple Watch, we manage to walk 12,000 steps which is up to 5-7 KM a day. We love our waking routine.

It is Newton's first law of motion. We taught this to the kids when we coached youth sports.
  • You guys are great. I'm trying to regulate my blood pressure and you guys are a shot in the arm!!
  • I love your channel Adam. Thank you for all your advice, kindles and love towards humanity!
  • I walk 2.5 miles most mornings. I find it energizes me for the day. I've also begun to walk either before lunch or after lunch, because I want to get 10,000 steps in as often as I can. At the very least, I aim for 6000 steps a day. Now it's to the point where I don't feel right if I don't get some walking in, either on the gym treadmill or around my neighborhood.

It's wonderful that you make each other laugh. Laughter is the best medicine. It's gotten me through the saddest times in my life. You're only the 2nd person I've ever known that loves fig newtons. My dad is the 1st. I love this video. It made me laugh, as well as taught me something. Keep loving and laughing! ❤️ Oh, and I am having to keep a log of my b/p for a month as it's been elevated. I started doing your breathing technique, and it's working. Wahoooo! I love your videos. Thank you so much! 🤗

Excellent information! I walk in the morning on my treadmill at 6:00 a.m. for 40 minutes and then again for another 40 minutes in the evening!
