ā€œEveryone sees her as a gladiator, but thatā€™s my wife.ā€ šŸ˜ Andrea is such a king šŸ‘‘šŸ‘‘ Loving this relationship & always on Team Sydney!!
  • The quality of this vid is insane. It was beautiful to see a little backstage for this race, and I'd love to see a full documentary (maybe decades later) about Sydney and her T&F career with a similar quality.

The cinematography in this video is insanely beautiful! Please do more of these in the future. It is amazing to see your dynamic with your team! God bless.

Sharing the prayer that your husband prayed over you before the race was a blessing to me. If you two keep your lives centered on Christ yā€™all can handle anything life brings you. I love watching track and field but that was the best part of this video. You, your husband, and your racing brought glory to God. Thanks for sharing.

I love the relationship she has with her team and coach. But most importantly, her relationship with her husband is beautiful to see. The support, the love, the prayer, and encouragement. Beautiful piece with lovely cinematography!

As a fan, I must say that itā€™s a privilege to see this perspective from the greatest athlete we have currently competing (in my opinion, and others.) The access, the vulnerability, the support system, the ability for you to be such a faithful servant in victory and defeat. They way you look at the journey and not just the outcome, is defeat even a thing? It was a joy to watch. I donā€™t know how many of these we as fans will receive from you. You may not know, but thank you. Peace and blessings on this journey. We hope youā€™re enjoying it as much as we as fans are witnessing it šŸ’š

"humble in victory, humble in losing" so many things to like about this video. Thank you for sharing your experience.

I love how Syd and her husband prayed before the race. Beautiful prayer and an amazing race!!
  • I donā€™t have role models but Sydney and DrĆ© are by far the coolest people I donā€™t know personally, yā€™all are my absolute role models. God bless you guys!! Sydney, you did amazingly!! Big champ. Soli Deo Gloria ā™„ļø

Andre is a man I can celebrate. Husbands who pray for and with their wives are elite. šŸ¤™šŸ¼

I honestly love this because most people see the champ most people see the world record holder and they see her as an athlete but giving us a glimpse into how she feels her personal life and practice it gives us a better understanding. I'm very proud of her.... she's super talented but also a human being and it's important people understand that and respect it ! Go syd! We are rooting for you all the way

Your coach is a wise man. It is great to see how you trust him. He tested your body and you delivered exactly what he wanted to see. I cannot wait for your times throughout the season and in the future. You have already achieved what most could only dream of. You are truly an inspiration in countries across the world. Your work ethic has inspired my kids to try harder all the way in South Africa. It is awesome to see your hubby in the video. Family is super important.

You ran an absolutely fantastic race!!! I'm so excited about your season, not to mention you have the most awesome, supportive husband!

Sydney is going to break the world record. I know the record seems far fetched, but her mindset and discipline are already there. Sheā€™s not just relying on talent, she a student of the sport and shows up every single day ready to learn. Her support system plays a huge role because they donā€™t pressure her to win. They encourage her to do her best. There is a difference. We are witnessing history unfold right in front of our eyes and we should savor every moment of it as track and field fanatics. Congratulations to her and all of the amazing athletes etching their names in the history books. More to come!

What she says in the last minute makes me sad. People put so many expectations on her, and I can't image how difficult it is to deal with that mentally. I hope she can protect her peace, and keep being an inspiring athlete and kind person. I'll always be a fan, no matter what she runs or if she wins! Go Sydney <3

She came out fast the first 200m! Thatā€™s huge! Canā€™t wait to see her potential get unleashed! Sheā€™s got a lot in her!
  • @thefamilyman9628
Gotta admit this short documentary has opened my eyes and realized she is human and I was really upset she lost. But one channel broke down her splits and she ran an incredible race. Her first 200 was 22.6. She is the one who will break the 400m record. I know there is a lot of pressure on her but she has a great support group.
  • @vincew4297
You can tell she really loves and admires her husband when she asked him after the race if he was proud of her because she asked him with such sincerity. And you could tell by her smile after he said he was and her 200 time how happy she was. They really balance each other out well and having such a great support system behind her like that is why sheā€™s going to continue to dominate in the sport for years to come
