I rooted for the bear -- as I always do in these "nature's revenge" movies. The humans are always a bunch of teenage imbeciles who deserve what is coming to them, so you cheer when they get bumped off. One exception was The Edge (1997), which is more complex and well worth seeing.

Take bear bells and bear spray... They chase away brown and black bears. If the bear's breath smells of bear spray and it has bear bells caught in its claws, it's a grizzly.

I'm rooting for the bear also it just makes sense.

So remember if a grizzly gets you . Drop to the ground cover your face and neck . That way it makes you easier for the grizzly to eat . So your not struggling not letting the bear bite into where ever it wants to first . Which eventually it will anyways .

It is clear that for this kind of film it is necessary for the protagonists to play the role of absolute idiots without the slightest criteria and doing everything contrary to what good common sense, logic and prudence indicates.
