Join me as I cross from America to Japan by luxury cruise ship, onboard Silversea’s Silver Whisper. This is an ultra luxury cruise line, where everything is taken care of from having your own butler, a spacious Royal suite, fine dining and first class service. We’ll travel some 4,000 miles from Seward Alaska, stopping briefly on Kodiak Island, and in Dutch harbour, before passing the international date line. We'll arrive into Tokyo, Japan after 14 days at sea. I’ll show you exactly what it’s like from my Royal Suite, to the various restaurants and facilities onboard. As usual this is self funded, and Silversea had no idea I was coming.

I took my Mother on a 14 day cruise to Hawaii. We had an awesome time and she loved it. Sadly, she passed away a few months later. It was worth every penny and I have great memories of the trip.

The fact that you travel and include your mom & dad in your excellent vlogs is really special and super smart. They must be very proud of how far you’ve come✌️

This has got to be my favourite mini travel doc you have made. And as others have said, the fact you include your parents in these experiences is wonderful.

To my mother passed Rest well Mom, maybe we can do something like this next life. Love you.
  • I lost my mum in 2001 mate 29 years old now and this video makes me feel proper emotional which never really happens. Cherish every moment of that trip buddy as i would give absolutely anything to be able to take a trip like that with her. Amazinf ❤

In the 90's, I worked for a company that wrote/maintained onboard computer systems for a variety of cruise lines. So I had to travel on many different ships. We were considered contractors/vendors so we slept in passenger cabins and restaurants. I've found the smaller the ship, the better the service. I found the big Royal Caribbean ships to be horrible, as I hate crowds and cramped cabins. I loved the Silver Cloud (another Silverseas ship), EVERY cabin was considered a suite and had a balcony. It was fantastic in every way.

At the risk of saying the same thing over and over again, you knocked it right out of the park yet again Will. Awesome production and I thoroughly enjoyed travelling vicariously with you and your mother. WAY tighter production values than many TV programmes. Many thanks 👍

What an amazing trip. Your Mom is so sweet and beautiful and you both looked like you were having such a good time together. I'm 73 and have health issues that prevent me from travelling, but I've always wanted to take a long cruise on a beautiful ship like this one. So, instead of feeling the breeze myself, I travel with you, enjoying every moment you share with me. Thank you. 😇

Honestly a joy to see this video of you and your Mum. Having lost my Mother earlier this year, it was a very pleasant and happy reminder of the overseas holidays in which I took her. Savour those times you have it's only in the future we understand how rewardingly priceless they are.

I almost felt I was on this cruise myself. I’ve shied away from cruising, but this may change my mind! And the departure point and final destination are two places I thoroughly enjoy…spent 3 weeks in Alaska with my late husband and now have a strong linkage to Japan with family living in Okinawa…I may consider this journey when i finally retire in a year. Thanks for bringing this experience to life for me!

I'm from Kodiak, and I'm astounded that you've visited my home town. It was so amazing to see you walk on the Abercrombie trails I frequented as a youth! Love your travels. Stay trendy!

I’m so delighted to see mom! What great core memories your family is making. You’re a wonderful son! I know they love traveling with you. Beautiful suite! I hope one day I can do this for my family.

Your Mum is such a sweetie! What a special trip with the two of you.
  • I’m not all the way through, but I have to say that you all dressed up is a treat on the eyes, but your date is absolutely beautiful. Millie, and your mum is just a treat to see when they join you on your adventures. Impossible to choose which travel partner is a favorite, and that includes adventures with dad. Thank you for being such a big part of the big changes in my life path. Your an amazing inspiration.

I don't usually comment on videos. What I want to say is thank you. Your video took me into what felt like a peaceful place that I much needed . It took me away from all the stress of the chaotic world around us. Legendary and stellar Trek.

As a life long Alaskan I truly hope you and mum enjoyed this beautiful corner of the world and I hope you continue to enjoy every other corner as well! Cheers!
