This series is just so Reed can go around and fan boy/geek out over smart home stuff with others while taking notes, lol! You can see that excited energy of two kids on Christmas morning as they play with all the toys.

It's fascinating seeing different people's entirely different approaches to building a smart home. I personally like everything to be hidden without screens and buttons everywhere, but I do love that movie poster screen!

🤯 With Harmony remotes having been discontinued with nobody else worthy to backfill the space, there is definitely a niche market for his remote! I know I would absolutely buy one!

Dave needs to patent and sell that doggy door, remote control and those light switches. He also needs to turn on 30 second skip on his DIRECTV DVR. He currently has 30 second slip on, which is just like fast forward.

Unfolded Circle will be doing a kickstarter for their Remote 3 - why do I mention that? It integrates into Home Assistant and can be a big part of some home automation too. And, you know - the home theater.
