I think encouraging people to buy you upgrades really went against the spirit of this fight. Even flat out asking someone to buy you an upgrade for a challenge because you can't buy it yourself.

It's also not just the fang, running a tanky setup against a slow weapon just wastes so many hits and so much time, and you got the consistent weapon so you also kept him eating. You genuinely countered him pretty well xD
