The montage starting at 14:30 was one of the best-edited sequences in mountain biking history. Watching frustration can sometimes feel annoying, but this felt thrilling!

Holy crap, Eric! That was so amazingly intense and raw. I was hovered over my desk intensely during all those case attempts, then when you got the send, I jumped up with my fist up in the air for your victory.

Eric, I’ve always enjoyed the storytelling of your videos but this episode is on another level. Your skills as a filmmaker continue to grow and this was a tremendous combination of narrative, cinematography, and editing. Thank you for your dedication to your craft and sharing this intimate look into your being. Also, submit this to film festivals. Doesn’t matter if they are mountain bike focused. This is a story of ambition, struggle, and perseverance. And not to be overlooked: Yuka. Super supportive. There for every step. As impressive as she is for her riding skill, this video showcases her amazing quality as a person.

One of my favorite things about your channel is that you're never afraid to share your failure (which is way too strong a word of this but I digress...). And you always seem to get it in the end. But this one was extra awesome. I literally threw my arms up and cheered aloud when you cleared that fucker. Great video, Sir. Loved every minute.

I love how you put this video together. At first it made me frustrated “Eric, just do it” But then it made me realize how frustrated you must be. The amount of dedication you put into riding back up just to go down and fail. If there’s a lesson to learn here kids, don’t give up. You may fail, once, twice or a hundred times. But if you don’t give up you can get there, trust the process. Well done Eric, proud of you.

So. I was on those trails that day and heard someone yell "fuck yeah" while I was on the climb road. Guess it was you! So proud of you for sticking with it.
