Thanks for the help @Van Girl Yuka

The video is solid on its own, but man emotional component of this video is powerful. Really cool stuff Eric.

The montage starting at 14:30 was one of the best-edited sequences in mountain biking history. Watching frustration can sometimes feel annoying, but this felt thrilling!
  • @SemiSendy
Holy crap, Eric! That was so amazingly intense and raw. I was hovered over my desk intensely during all those case attempts, then when you got the send, I jumped up with my fist up in the air for your victory.

Eric, I’ve always enjoyed the storytelling of your videos but this episode is on another level. Your skills as a filmmaker continue to grow and this was a tremendous combination of narrative, cinematography, and editing. Thank you for your dedication to your craft and sharing this intimate look into your being. Also, submit this to film festivals. Doesn’t matter if they are mountain bike focused. This is a story of ambition, struggle, and perseverance. And not to be overlooked: Yuka. Super supportive. There for every step. As impressive as she is for her riding skill, this video showcases her amazing quality as a person.

One of my favorite things about your channel is that you're never afraid to share your failure (which is way too strong a word of this but I digress...). And you always seem to get it in the end. But this one was extra awesome. I literally threw my arms up and cheered aloud when you cleared that fucker. Great video, Sir. Loved every minute.
  • @bliksemvis
haven't seen such level of emotion yet on the channel. Major props for having the courage to finally getting it done, overcoming your mental block, the duo you two are and having the balls to show all of the moments and emotions!
  • I love how you put this video together. At first it made me frustrated “Eric, just do it” But then it made me realize how frustrated you must be. The amount of dedication you put into riding back up just to go down and fail. If there’s a lesson to learn here kids, don’t give up. You may fail, once, twice or a hundred times. But if you don’t give up you can get there, trust the process. Well done Eric, proud of you.

Damn, this one had me emotional for sure. I felt like I was right there with you. I think we’ve all experienced this mental block before, but you did a phenomenal job with the editing and storytelling to take us along. Major props on getting past this one.
  • @DailyMTBRider
Thanks for always keeping it real Eric - we need more of this on youtube. And congrats on not stopping until you sent it!

So. I was on those trails that day and heard someone yell "fuck yeah" while I was on the climb road. Guess it was you! So proud of you for sticking with it. That trail is way above my skill so I don't ride it. So cool to see you pushing your limits and struggling through. It's inspiring to the rest of us. Thanks for sharing!
  • @BasicBodThor
Yuka is such a boss haha "now I can see, that's easy...do it!" Well done you guys :)
  • @DaleStone
One of the best, most realistic (and relatable) riding videos out there. Thanks Eric, will be a frequent re-watch!
  • @billbingham916
It was never about beating the jump, it was about winning that battle with yourself, inside your own head. Anyone trying to progress at anything has this battle, its the one of toughest fights in life. Well done for winning and thank you for sharing it with us.
  • @christianhb3314
I cried for you too man. When I saw you were going back I felt so pumped for you. And to see you keep trying and conquering yourself really made something click in my head. Thanks for being BCPOV and shout out to Yuka for being a dope ass fucking partner. 🙌
  • Dude, you're a badass! These are my local trails and that run is no joke and it's designed so oddly, you crushed it! Great job!
  • @jimmyjack1896
Damn! That was an emotional trip. Was not expecting the feels at the end of this video. Amazing job, Eric.
  • @JoPro06
THIS, is why you’re the best content creator out there. This video really moved me, and was perfectly composed at the level of profesional documentaries. In addition, you both are a wonderful couple considering the patience nd support you give each other.
  • @cdpd3
Damn man, good job. Busting through that mental wall and hearing your relief at the end was crazy. Thanks for letting us be a part of this struggle. On another note, seeing Yuka progress so much so quickly during this video is crazy, I cannot get over how she can just decide to do something and it happens. Inspiration for everyone.
  • Man this is just the essence of action sports captured so perfectly. I love how raw this is and that you kicked that jump's ass in the end. Unreal video Eric!
