    Charlie Marie is a delightful surprise for the ears and for music. Her sound is only surpassed by her voice, so enigmatic, so charismatic, deep. It's a voice that even manages to irritate, but it irritates in a pleasant way. It irritates you because it brings out an emotion that is trapped, that is held deep down. And gradually, it starts to release. I am certain that she will be one of the great singers of our time. She will be recognized as such. I already recognize her as such.

    Thank you, Western AF, for introducing me to my new favorite artist. I grew up on classic country and now listen to mostly early music (baroque) so I have a high bar when it comes to vocals, and Miss Marie meets and surpasses it. The "three chords and the truth" story-telling hits both the heart and the mind (Smokey Bear and Mary Jane!). Props also to Mr. Mercado's ethereal accompaniment. To top things off, being a Northeaster with Southern roots, learning that she is from Rhode Island of all places was like a cherry on the cake.

    I bought her ep and album in 2021. On Bandcamp ! The album was in my top 10 of the year. After she been tempted to stop making music ! I am so happy to see her back ! Go Charlie go
