You ain't gunna keep the guns away from the bad guys. That's the problem. I understand your hurting, but taking away a persons means of defense is not the answer.

What about the people who shouldn’t be driving
  • @willmarks9433
Why does it seem like it would be so easy to make fun of this guy
  • We should make drugs illegal too! That’ll keep ‘em off the streets! (For context because the internet doesn’t understand sarcasm: making guns illegal and taking them away from good people only leaves the bad people with them) I understand your anger but banning all guns from people won’t keep them away from those who want to do harm. Cheers.

Silly man. By definition, criminals do not abide by laws. They will always have guns. So we should stand there unarmed and tell the armed criminal he's breaking the law? Also, when Australia "took away" guns, their crime rate soared, especially home invasions!!!!

You abolish the 2nd. Then you tell everyone they have a year to bring their gun for melting. Then after two years, if someone is caught with a firearm...any firearm...you are charged with consequences similar to murder. It might take 50 years to work, but after that, no more bullet holes.

So, you do know you are stereotyping right? How does it feel to be a racist?

I'm seeing comments about criminals still having guns if all guns were to be taken out of society and I'm also seeing comments about home protection. Valid arguments. First off, we have to answer the question what is being done to keep guns out of the hands of criminals? Right now, not enough but I think that goes back to the core problem which is a grotesque abundance of weapons. Are we really pushing our representatives hard enough to correct the situation? Are people informed enough on the situation? Are they aware that the gun lobby and arms manufacturers have a huge reason for guns to circulate and they don't care who gets ahold of them? Money over lives. Correct these situations. You may never completely get the guns out of criminal's hands but if you get to the point where the number is insignificant we're in a better place than we are now. As to the crime rate going up in Australia going after over 600,000 guns were turned, I'm searching right now and not finding any reliable non partisan pro gun articles to support that. The only reliable source that I would trust was factcheck.org/ which stated that the murder rate in Australia is actually going down since the buyback. As to home protection in order to be a responsible gun owner especially if you have children you should keep the guns locked up or at least have a trigger lock. Does anyone seriously think that at 2:00 in the morning you can wake up out of a dead sleep and get to and unlock a gun that's most likely unloaded, load it up and confront a burglar before they just make a run for it? Statistic show you are more likely to accidently shot yourself or a family member either in that circumstance or in general. Speaking of stats, most people who intend to break into your house to take stuff will case your house and wait until you leave. They aren't armed. They want to get in and out as quick as possible and they don't want trouble. You're better off having a loud dog because they won't know if a 150 pound killer is on the other side of that door or window or not. I'm still sticking with the premise of my video. It wasn't a knee jerk reaction. I have thinking about this for a long time. The shooting in Texas pushed me to actually doing something concrete. I also recently joined up with a local gun reform organization as well.
