Eldjarn's impression of an English cockney accent is Just spot on!!
  • Cod Wars: Iceland 3:0 UK Football: Iceland 2:1 England I think we should just shut up at this point and realise we're on a losing streak here.
  • I'm Irish and I got more enjoyment out of watching that match than I probably should have

There was this running joke in Poland when that happened. How do you form the Icelandic football team? Well, first you round up all the population. Then you remove all the pensioneers, the disabled, the women, the children, all those who don't know the rules of football, and the 11 people left are your team!
  • Reading about that legal saga is actually hilarious. The supermarket chain didn't sue Iceland, but rather went after smaller businesses who didn't have the money to defend themselves, so lost and couldn't use "Icelandic" in their names - actual Icelandic business couldn't use "Icelandic" in their names! So, Iceland (the country) sued the supermarket chain. Which led to further hilarity when UK investors raged against Iceland (the country) which had supposedly shafted all of them when it went bankrupt during the GFC. You need a whiteboard to properly visualise this or it becomes a "who's on first" skit.
