love how they're going "oh man this place looks so bad it's a really rough area" and it looks like one of the high class areas of LA
  • I am from Rome, and this was one of the weirdest collabs I would have never expected 🤣
  • @EatAtJoes
Watching Peter constantly biting his tongue instead of saying "Guys, this is not even close to bad" over and over is the best part of this video.
  • The dark side of Rome is a walk in the park in Rio de Janeiro. Greetings from senador camará - Rio.
  • I am Italian and lived in Rome, Termini station area is no where near what you get to see in San Francisco for example, where you see homeless drug addicts camping in the city center with an endless amount of needles on the sidewalk.. that's why Peter said "If this is the most dangerous area is not bad", because he knows better than him

I’m from São Paulo, Brasil, and have stayed in Rome for couple of days. My Airbnb was next to termini, and I’ve walked through the neighborhood in the day and night, and felt safer then any place here in São Paulo. Walk by night here you get a gun on your face, the most dangerous thing that can happen in Rome is your wallet been stolen without you noticing.
  • I was in Rome for 4 days in June with my 19 year old daughter and felt completely safe. I do not look like an easy target to many. Rome is an incredible city to visit.
  • This is exactly how I would imagine an Italian from Italy would sound when they speak English.
  • Peter I'm a 75 year old lady here in Ireland...look forward to your videos on Sundays...always very interesting and informative..thank you.

I was just in Rome in December, (2023) and stayed about 3 blocks up from Termini Station. Yes, I saw some homeless people. But, after a day of wandering around, and coming and going, day and night, I felt safe. No problems whatsoever. Of course, I wouldn't go through that underpass at night, or wander down streets that weren't busy. I kept hearing all the 'be careful in Rome' comments, but it's not the case. Loved Rome. I also went to that food court shown in the station. Worth a visit. Great food. When you travel, travel savvy. I returned from a visit south to Rome to catch my flight. I gave my Trenitalia lunch box to a homeless person who really appreciated it.

I’ve been to Rome three times for different occasions. Last time was four years ago. I felt absolutely safe. No issues. I even walked with my wife and kids around midnight to Saint Peters and back to our apartment. It was a good mile and a half walk. There are a lot of pickpocketers; but that is not a big deal if you are not showing up your stuff or have money on you.
  • To the credit of Rome & Romans— I was lucky enough to study abroad & live in Trastevere in 2005. I was young & bringing suitcases of laundry to my boyfriend’s for cheaper cleaning (a expensive at the laundromat ☺️). I was stuck trying to carry 3 suitcases down a large flight of stairs at Termini (this station) & a swarm of young men swooped them up for me & delivered them to my train. They were so sweet & wouldn’t accept anything but smiles & thanks 🙏 ❤ Thank you so much for sharing!! A piece of my heart will forever be in Rome ❤

The 'dark side' of Rome is the normal side of NYC.
  • @dxc3190
This was very interesting, really enjoyed the locals taking us on a proper honest tour. Great 10/10 content.
  • We walked all over Rome on a recent trip, including the area to the south east of Termini. Did not feel unsafe or threatened anywhere, even at night in the areas portrayed as dangerous in this video. Rome is probably safer than most large cities.
  • Perfect example of why Peter's channel is worth watching. Has regular, real people, on the real streets and lets them tell us what's going on and how they feel. Not staged incidents and actors acting as media telling us what to think and how to act.

Been to Rome many times, a stunning place and Italian people are so friendly i feel much safer there than in my nearest city here in the UK
  • @ap-hv9uh
I have been in Rome five times, and I have always felt safe even late at night.

Im from London and i walked through these areas and i felt way more safer than in London. Brushed off a group of “rowdy” beggars and tons of foreign streets scammers with ease. They became slightly annoying at worse but caused no harm.
