It's Mind-blowing! SpaceX Starship Helps Beam Clean Energy From Space...NASA Shocked!
Starship helps beam clean energy from space.
Starship is a unique vehicle in the world!
It's hard to name anything it can't do.
Even if the method of getting clean energy from space has caused difficulties for scientists and space companies, it does not make it difficult for Starship.
It's Mind-blowing! SpaceX Starship Helps Beam Clean Energy From Space...NASA Shocked!
Recently, Starship has been said to be the only vehicle that can change the game, it will help companies beam solar energy in space. And space exploration will change from here.
So how can Starship SpaceX do this?
Let's find out on today's episode of Alpha Tech:
It's Mind-blowing! SpaceX Starship Helps Beam Clean Energy From Space...NASA Shocked!
Solar energy is the energy that we harvest from the sun.
It’s collected directly through what we generally call solar power. This comprises different technologies such as photovoltaics and solar-thermal energy. The sun’s energy is also gathered indirectly: wind energy is an example of this because breezes are generated by uneven heating of the atmosphere by the sun.

I do love SCI-FI! Thanks for the great story of folly land.
  • @AdvantestInc
It's crucial to consider sustainability in all technological advancements.

Green..??? I disagree. If you bring in more energy than the Earth has been getting for billions of years, that extra energy will create an equal and opposite effect, heating the Earth.
  • @firposs
Well let’s see, Nikolai Tesla solved the energy problem more than a hundred years ago, why not go with his invention and make the world energy efficient once for all?
  • @richardknapp570
The challenge is getting the "generated" power to Earth's surface without frying everything in its path. Still have issues with maintenance, too, since all kinds of nasty things in space destroy whatever they touch.

Although the eventual cost may be cheaper than conventional generation methods, that cost savings will "not" be shared with the consumer. The savings will be considered to offset the cost of maintaining the green power collecting systems in space and the central receivers on the ground. So our electricity bills will continue to climb, but it will now be green energy were paying for. So there will still be a consumer incentive to reduce his local dependent on the grid.

Isn't there going to be a future problem with all these spent satellites in geosynchronous orbit?
  • @ruthlemler2726
Wow I fully admit that I am too old and my brain is too small to grasp any of this. However, if SpaceX says they can do this I believe them.

Once the proper understanding of how the weather works is finally taken on board, then things will move a lot faster. 'Electric Weather Mechanics'- Movements in the atmosphere are not caused by heating (that's a by-product) as previously guessed. They are caused by electrical currents running through the atmosphere. With the Highs being the peaks of the returning current radiating from the load (earth) on the circuit (sun/earth connection), with the Lows being the new electrical inputs from the sun. This is more clearly understood and which conventional maths guesswork meteorology still totally ignores. With the voltage differential between the negatively charged earth at zero volts rising up through the atmosphere by about 100 Volts per metre, upto the positively charged ionosphere at about 100,000 Volts and so proving, due to being a separation of charge, is an electric field.
  • What is the theoretical limit on the energy imported in this way? that is a serious question because I do not see one beyond our ability to launch satellites. We could easily duplicate the energy we get from the sun, for instance. These things must be aimed with a high degree of precision to hit the receiver areas. Their controllers can designate a new receiver area at any time to provide for expanding the grid. They are already talking about restricting the power of the microwave transmitters which implies transmitter surplus, possibly redundancy, is being designed into the system, probably as a reliability matter. These things can be converted to weapons by enabling higher power and/or targeting many transmitters to use a falsely designated receiver at ant spot on the globe. How would your city do with the entire energy sent to your continent diverted to city hall, for example? In the best of circumstances, because we will have placed the entire planet into a microwave oven, global warming will be real, no matter your opinion of the current situation.

Although this type of power generation beamed down to Earth could have the advantage of a constant supply of sunlight, could cloudy days interfere with the receiving station located on the planet?
  • @kelvin869
Yeah, l don't think it will work. All of that extra solar light being beamed through the atmosphere wil heat the air up. Likewise with microwaves.
  • @garylester3976
Sounds way over complicated... The Nerds are at it again... Would be much more practical to just use multiple smaller reflectors, and focus sunlight where desired. For example, a city like New york could have its own reflectors that turned night into day and winter into summer. No need for lighting and heating, just design architectually to use from the sky. No snow plows, no winters without growing seasons, no droughts because you could heat up ocean surface temps a few degrees where rain was desired down wind on land. Causing increased evaporation, and following condensation, perhaps via orbital shade cloth satelites. Enough with the over complicated technocrap, think simple and pleasant, without wires, transformers, and meters everywhere. Just fix the problems, dont create a gazillion new ones. Cities already look and act like Mordor, Complete with the Eye of Sauron, spying on everybody because the incompetant rulers are illegitiment and insecure. Lets build a Shire instead of greed based Schittholes. Can still be paid for without having wires and bureaucracies.... The government of hell is a bureaucracy, I'm sure of it.
  • It can't land, it can't keep a stable flight, it can't open and close the Pez-door, it can't reach orbital velocity, it can't carry any payload so far. That rocket will go nowhere. 15+ launches to refuel one ship...are you kidding??????
  • @k.sullivan6303
Shagwell will finally be able to save money on batteries especially during the night at bedtime when she uses them the most! With the solar power beamed down from space even at night, she can thoroughly enjoy herself without having to worry about the high cost of disposable batteries. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
  • @k.sullivan6303
If we could harness all that kinetic energy every time a Starship crashes or the explosive energy every time it just blows up, we could help supply the grid.
