Do you think the new HLS renders are legit? Let us know below!

I really appreciate your more nuanced coverage of the Fish and Wildlife investigation. Pointing out how it is indeed annoying that it's slowing down the launch but also describing the department's role and subsequently how a dedicated organization could speed these things up! Most SpaceX channels have just been dogging on the F&W without any nuance.
  • Yes, contaminants from the exhaust could contaminate the local water during a launch.... But the same would occur during a static fire with water deluge, which is something SpaceX could do twice a day if they felt vindictive about it. So, stopping launches due to water contamination seems a bit pointless!

FYI - RB-57 was only based on the B-57 bomber. It is actually a heavily modified version with a much greater wingspan that was used as a reconnaissance aircraft contemporary with the U-2 Spyplane. It has a ceiling above 60,000 feet and numerous sensors, making it an ideal aircraft for NASA to acquire after it left the USAF inventory. NASA is also one of the few agencies that fly the U-2.

I genuinely get happy when i se a new space race vid and i makes my evening every time 🙂

    I really appreciate this No-nonsense, straight-to-the-point presentation.

Tractor beams can augment gravity tractors. You don't use them for something you want quickly. You send them to orbit something really big and really expensive and put it in a convenient spot for you sometime in the future. Then you sell futures stock on it. Something something blockchain something something profit.

Thanks for these well researched videos. My only small gripe is I don't think you need all the short stock video clips. The relevant clips are all you need.
  • @tombblades
Those HLS image's look awesome regardless!
  • @liammcalpin444
You said it again. Star Ship did not explode. I was deliberately destroyed!!!!!
  • Can’t deny that spaceX really is changing our perspective, on what humans are capable of!
  • @TheJomoe1
spacex could put one of the tractor beams on every starlink satellite and when they are ready to be decommissioned they take a piece down with them.
  • @glennback3105
You for got about the power needed for the tractor beam. What i have read it need a crap ton of power.
  • @DavidJohnsson
My question is, if you do manage to attract a piece of space debris with a tractor beam, what do you do with it then? Wouldn't you need something like a grappling arm anyway, matching the objects rotation, holding onto it and de-orbit it? And if that's the case, isn't it just easier to skip the beam altogether and just use the arms?

Fish and Wildlife agents seen pissing into the rocket exhaust just to be sure.

I've never seen a picture of the WB-57 in modern configuration, how cool! These are English Electric Canberras that have gone through the full ship of Thesus treatment, are all (NASA has the last 3 airworthy ones) Vietnam Veterans from a bunch of very interesting and secretive missions along the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Many were converted to run on H2 instead of regular JP-4/7/8 to improve their performance as they were one of the only aircraft that could accommodate the cryogenic fuel tank. My next door neighbor was flying one and brought down by a 37mm NVA autocannon and spent 4 years as a POW-- it's a fascinating and extremely rare aircraft. Glad to see they are still in their prime.
