  • I think i went into diabetic shock just watching this video lol She's hilarious, "to counter the sweetness, just add a pinch of salt!" hahaha
  • We have fallen in love with Paula Deen all over again through these comforting, lovely, and precious quarantine cooking shows. I hope Bubbles can stay on many future shows. She really brings out Paula's cutest sense of humor and we giggle like school girls! Love them both!
  • Paula Deen, Bubbles and Krispy Kreme. There's a well-deserved ballad waiting to be written about this new holy kitchen trinity.

  • Can't eat it....but I love watching you, two terrific ladies...
  • I just LOVED Paula's huge laugh at her own joke: "You are in good shape, if you want to be a circle!" HAHAHA! I also laughed hard along with Paula. Great one. God Bless you Paula. Love your videos!
  • Oh man, I just love Paula's laugh... Whenever I'm stressed I watch her cooking shows. I always finish so happy and I learn a thing or two! 😉
  • OMG Paula this is a hoot! There's no way our family could eat a whole recipe. I'd be feeding the neighbors! I'll have to half the recipe and put it in a 9x9 pan. When we had my folks restaurant, we would use day old cinnamon rolls and glazed donuts from the bakery leftovers. We used to make it up and let it sit 30-90 minutes to suck up some of that sinfully delicious liquids. And yes Mom used a cup of half and half or whole milk. Our topping was a light glaze, not slathered on with a trowel, (LOL!) like you made, but about more glaze vs light frosting made with either Rum, Bourbon, or Orange Liquore. Damn I miss her cooking. Like you we were in the restaurant business for over 40 years. Thanks for the memories and the incoming calories!
  • I decided to try a twist on this as I have made this several times about 12 years ago. I started with a box of raisins and soaked them in cinnamon schnapps and dark rum. While that was happening I took 5 eggs, 2 cups of heavy cream, a can of condensed milk, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and mixed it up. Other spices like nutmeg or ginger would work well. I took 6 apple fritters and chopped them up and put them in a greased 9x 13 pan. I put a can of apple pie filling on top then took another 6 apple fritters and chopped them up and put on top of the apple pie filling. I added the raisins at this point with the little bit of liquid that wasn't absorbed. Carefully added the egg mixture and made sure all the fritters were covered. I let the mixture soak in while I started to preheat my oven. I gave a couple of good cranks of sea salt on top to give it just a little bit of saltiness. It is in the oven now at 350 and I can't wait to try it. I bought some rum raisin ice cream. I have never made the butter rum sauce but I think I had it at a party the first time I had this type of bread pudding.
  • Paula to Michael: "Yeah, you are in good shape...if you want to be a circle!" 😂😂😂
  • Paula I’ve watched you since you stared on TV all those years ago! I’ve been a huge fan since. My grandmother before she passed said you can tell Paula was raised right because of the way she cooks! Anyway I made this recipe and it was over the moon good! You’ll probably never see this but thank you for the years, memories and recipes.
