Arnel, don't listen to the negativity. Without you we would never have had our band back. Of course Steve Perry is unbelievably the great sound of Journey. Those are huge shoes to fill. Thank you for bringing the live music back to us. Journey fan through it all!!!!

16 years... That exhausted voice speaks a lot .. we love you arnel❤️❤️❤️
  • It’s amazing Steve perry complimented Arnel in such a nice way during his speech. He blows it away on stage

Saw the original back in high school. Steve Perry from my hometown in Central Calif. We’re part Filipino so when Arnel n Journey came to NolA, we had to gon it was a great show! Kudos to him… hard shoes to fill but he came close.❤
  • Very hard song to belt out and very large shoes to fill. Arnel has done wonderfully and brought Journey back from the dead.

Arnel Pineda's age of 50... imagine who R&R legend singers can obtained this very high notes?even steve perry, bon jovi and phi collins are absolutely struggled this very high notes at their age of 50.. that's why arnel is incredible.

I would’ve loved to see Steve Perry take the stage with Arnel, that would be something to behold. Arnel does the job great, anyone’s voice would start to give after rigorous touring.

Everyone in the audience wanted to see Steve Perry sing this song.

Not Arnel's best performance, but the mixing doesn't give him any help, he is left utterly exposed. Check out Separate Ways from their gig in Manila. His performance, with Deen Castronovo backing him, is amazing
  • I love his voice but nobody can replicate that gritty sound in Steve’s voice. Arnel only smooths it out.

Though "It's Arnel's gig now" he had nothing to do with Journey being inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It was Steve's gig that got them there. No disrespect to Arnel. It's because of Arnel that is keeping the music alive. Let's not forget...it's a business. The music business, keeping the money coming in and as long as there are fans, they will keep playing.

He's 50 years old and I completely understand how difficult it is for him to sing such vocally demanding song. I'm 30 and I would not even dare to sing this.

Steve is a very humble man abd has great love and respect for Arnel he woild not take the night away from him like he said its Arnels gig now
