Your instructions worked for me. Cleaned out that little hole in the carb, and it purrs like a kitten! Thanks for the info
  • Nice video, very informative. I have an older model iX2000 which disassembles a little easier but the information you provided helped me get my generator up and running again. Thanks!

Well, thank you for that, I had the same problem with mine and fixed it with your video. My generator was tested for a couple minutes after I bought it, and then it sat unused for two-plus years. Then it would start just for a brief moment and die. And if I tried after that, it would crank without any sign of life until many hours later when a little fuel got past the blockage. I found some short-cuts to the procedure that some of your viewers might benefit from: Instead of pulling off the fuel line @11:50 , I cracked open the screw on the fuel bowl and looked for fuel in the drain line (the smaller clear tubing, not the pink-ish one). It told me the bowl did indeed have fuel, and it looked like clean gas. But, like yours, it doesn't tell you if fuel is getting further into the venturi. You can disconnect the 2-pin Molex connector to the fuel tank sending unit, and pull the gas tank off to one side (to the pull-start side) so it won't gravity feed the carb bowl. No need to pinch the hose. Plus, you can disconnect the black PCV line at the carb air intake elbow easier than from the valve cover side, which requires removing a clamp. It pulls right off. The wire I used to clean the jet was a RN60 resistor lead. It just barely fit, and measures 0.026" or about 0.66mm. The shroud fasteners are all 3mm hex. The selector knob is 2mm hex. And the carb and air filter are all 10mm nuts or bolts. I suppose if we disconnect the kill switch on the 3-way selector, then when we switch to the "off position," it would burn off the gas in the bowl before shutting itself down. This would be better for long term storage, but it also has some negative safety consequences if you leave it that way all the time. Too bad disconnecting the kill-switch requires so much time to pull off all the shrouds to get to those Molex connectors. Thanks again for posting this.My sp
  • Great video, would have liked to see it run for a while and complete operational assessment, thanks for showing us what it took to get it to start
  • Hey you saved me a bunch of money getting me info and confidence to fix my unit.
  • @Greenmet29
You should add Craftsman 2200i to your title. I have been searching for days about how to put the carb back together and your video was perfect for me! Thanks!!

Usually look for short videos but needed all the details you mentioned. Great video and well worth the time. Thanks for an awsome video.
  • I bought this unit from a family member that worked there 5 years ago .. been sitting NIB in my garages in the three homes I've lived in since then .. tried to start it last week for the first time during a bird hunt and got nothing .. when I got home I discovered I literally had the EXACT same problem!! My bowl was a touch cleaner, but the exact same hole was clogged ..Cleaned out the exact same hole... Started right up!!! .. my edit .. a shirt cut to fuel switch troubleshoot .. open the carb bowl drain into a bottle, cycle the switch from run to off while fuel is draining, the fuel should stop draining when switch is off.

Thanks for the video. The last part of the video, where you cleaned that blocked hole in the carburetor helped me. Helped turn on my PULSAR PG2000is.

Hey nice video. The small generators are nice. The problem is the electronics parts fail sometimes more often then the Honda model of this size. The electronics part cost like two thirds of the unit. This video tutorial was excellent
  • @jdtexas2048
Very good step by step trouble shooting - I always go for the carb bowl first, but I like the other steps noted - it seems 95% for me has been carb - Very good video.
  • @1dumbstuff
Excellent video. The content was very, very clean, concise, and exact. Now to clean my carb.

Nice vid thanks, your comment about the fuel being left in their for so long sitting is something i have mentioned to my friends about the cars seen in walking dead they wont just start after 3 or 4 years just sitting there, and the fuel would be degraded.

Fantastic I think the Clarke inverter I picked up cheap is the same as this as it looks brand new
  • It must have been a Monday or Friday product. Some employee did not drain the bowl after pre-test.   Thanks for the video.   J K

Simple as that, a perfect example of why you should always use top grade premium fuel in all your power tools. Thanks for sharing, Cheers

Thanks for posting. Very informative. I definitely appreciate NOT including all the minutia of "interference" removal! Thank you. I need to do this same repair to mine I think. Left untreated gas in it for too long.
