As someone wanting to make Victorian underpinnings, this was such an amazing resource! Thank you for specifically mentioning patterns and the names of layers and articles, such as the Bertha. Thank you again!

Ladies back then had many constraints on their time and purse, just as we do. Home sewers were not above using shortcuts and would leave things off a homemade dress to save time and money. I sew myself and have seen a number of corner cutters on very old garments.

I'm working on TV462 right now, Truly Victorian makes great patterns.

Такое впечатление, что она была в прошлой жизни принцессой. Такие шедевры выдает только старая опытная душа. Накопленный душой опыт перенесенный в наше время.

Such a beautiful time period for design I absolutely love skirts over crinoline cages. ❤❤❤
  • Well, i could use a nap after going through that. Just to dress. You look amazing.

Oh, I always thought that part before the glows...it was part of the dress. Part of the bodices. Interesting

Layers so important to avoid lampshade silhouette. 👍🏻👍🏻

Очень интересно было ли холодно девушкам в те времена в -20 в таких платьях?
