  • When people ask me what I do for a living I say exactly what Aaron said “ I make big rocks small rocks”😂

We run concrete through a impact crusher 4043 TR, into a 512 screener to make 304 and 1&2s. Sometimes we’ll run the 304 through our other screener to make 57s. This just motivated me to record and post some videos. Idk why but this is like the coolest shit ever to me lol

Aaron - fun fact about rocks ... When Atlanta built the Mercedes Benz Stadium in 2017, it meant the demise of the GA Dome next door, which became the Home Depot Backyard park. Every single bit of concrete in the Dome building was broken down, crushed on site, and utilized as the foundation (some 20' deep) for the Backyard, with drainage, dirt, and sod then laid atop. The end result is a NFL stadium sized grass park used both for pregame tailgates, and recreation for the community next to the new stadium.

Your opener totally reminded me of Mike Rowe and a Dirty Jobs opening! You just forgot, "this is my job". Job well done!

Love seeing you talk to the workers. Their experience gives them a unique insight that can't be found elsewhere.

Fisher industries also came up with the idea how to build the boarder wall efficiently then implemented it. Amazing company.

I've hauled aggregate all over central KY Building hyways houses and everything else. Sand, manufactured sand dust #10, #9, flat 8s, 78, 57, DGA PUG( wet DGA) or Road base. #2. Channel liner. Then I had a underground permit to drive underground in the mine to haul out rock too big for the convertor belt.

The company I work for is very similar to Fisher Industries, except we don’t manufacture the equipment. Underground limestone mine, to dredging sand and gravel, sand drying operations for our mortar supply company, to asphalt plants, concrete ready mix plants, block manufacturing, and precast walls and bridge girders, and road construction crews. All within 100 mile radius.

Really interesting stuff mate. I think here in Oz we're slowly getting to the efficiency scale of the US, but man. The vertical integration of the company working on I17 is really impressive. They have some serious assets.

I have three lockout locks, since there are generally more than once location that needs to be locked out. In the Navy we didn't use lockouts locks, but had lockout tags that were signed by numerous people before hanging them and had to get permission from someone in charge (later in my Navy career I was that person in charge for electronics) to tag out and untag equipment.
  • They have a water purfier tank to clean gravel screens shake the size rocks 3/4 1/2
