As a movie girlie, I highly recommend going to the cinema alone, ESPECIALLY if you’re pivoting towards doing more videos about new releases! You can concentrate better when you’re not also thinking about socialising with whomever you’re there with. I also recommend looking into whether there is some sort of movie pass available to you in Australia (I don’t know what cinema chains you have there but maybe one will have an option that allows you to see more films for a monthly fee than if you were to pay full price for each visit). If you find one, it might allow or even encourage you to see more films and get the full, grandiose cinematic experience. 😊 I love finding smaller films that aren’t as high budget or well publicised because then I feel like I’ve discovered hidden gems. 😊 ALSO, Top 10 lists are a big thing for movie(/TV) channels and Letterboxd is a great way to keep track. You can start making a list for 2024 where you start adding and ranking things as you go, adjusting as you see fit, and then when you want to make it at the end of the year, you won’t have to go through everything you watched across 12 months. I like to keep my list private so I don’t spoil the ranking before I’ve made my Top 10 of the year video (I’m editing mine now!) 😊

I personally think 'the ballad of songbirds and snakes' was the best movie release of the year and perhaps of the past couple of years. I went into it with the lowest expectations because traditionally prequels never work out but I was pleasantly surprised I became a fan and read the book. After catching fire I will remember this film the most.

  • @mnkylondon
I couldn’t agree more the chemistry between Taylor and Nicholas was off the charts I’ve also watched numerous times and still laugh and cry I think Red White and Royal Blue is one of my favourite movies ever

I think that for barbie, ken was the main character because it is supposed to make us think about how men are always the center of attention. they always come up with "what about us" when women are discussing their issues
  • @jjjo2016
i watched red, white and royal blue wayyyyy to many times (daily, for weeks oops) and i also read the book i think id like the movie more if i didnt read the book first bc the movie is wayyyyy to fast paced and there is quite a few scenes missing but the chemistry was really good between the charactors/actors also i dont like the directing i just love the actors anyway rant over bc i actually loved the movie haha

I laughed my ass of to Bros, but perhaps my older age (38) has something to do with that, much of the lines are very relateble and the storyline has many nostalgic punches i guess.
  • @boayden9971
Thanks for this.❤ I can't wait for your review about tv series 😊🙋🏿‍♀️
  • @ShhhSilje
I haven’t enjoyed a YouTuber this much in forever! Obsessed with the new content ❤
  • I love seeing you’re take on things, you always bring up things I’d never think of. Just to add to the Saltburn section , as an Oxford girlie myself, Oxford University isn’t in London it’s in Oxford which is around 2 hours away from London. I don’t blame you for thinking this though as the new Wonka movie also combines Oxford & London as if they’re interwoven but they’re two separate cities
