Back To Basics For The Business...My Customer Repair Days Are Done!!

Published 2024-05-29
It's a tough decision to make, but it's one that was unavoidable. Perhaps someday I'll have bandwidth to do repairs again, but we're talking a decade out at the soonest. I'll still be uploading content, but it'll be more focused on my saws, collection and projects!

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Take care of business; the kids will be grown and gone in the blink of an eye. 10 years from now you won't be wishing you worked on more saws. Enjoy the family as long as possible.
  • Totally understand Leon, I am privileged to have had you fix two of my saws.

Totally Understand man. You have fixed 6 or 7 saws for me and a totally restored 7-21 that sets on my desk at work for everyone to see! Thanks for sharing your time with us.

Makes sense. This is the type of thing that tends to get out of control really fast if you allow it to. Thanks for all the videos. They're very helpful! And the documentation on the website is very helpful too!

No apologies needed, Leon. You gotta do you. My kids are growing up incredibly quick as well. Family first. Just a big Thank You for helping me out these past bunch of years. 🍻🇨🇦

I get it, I have a 8 and 10 year old that are in baseball and many other activities and it runs you out of time to do even your own things. Thank you for all the great videos they have helped me many times. Also thank you for the great service on parts, there are some on their way from you now. Enjoybyour time.

  • @SnackPackSilkens
Do what you gotta do, looking forward to the next era of vids. I'm always an advocate for creators making what they want to make.

thank you for the videos they are very helpful and thankyou for the repairs you did on one my saws. you repair work is going to be missed, there isn't enough repairmen out there that know how to or are willing to work on old homelite saws. But I totally understand how it became overwhelming .Thankyou and I look forward to your videos in the future.

  • I bought 50 sets of rings, guide bar plates, and dozens of pistons a couple years ago anticipating parts issues, whole saw prices (for their condition) are nuts

the important thing is to do what we love when we can… So if you can do it my friend🙂

I can understand, kinda hard in some areas finding a repair shop. An then with the price of parts an availability is a huge pain. Gets you back to what you intended. To enjoy your passion, help some others out. I can imagine it was overwhelming at times. I dont blame you ,teach someone to repair. Help them out for life. Your family comes first, not hello stranger. You just cant get that back. Hey we're still gonna see you. So enjoy yourself dammit. Alabama is a big fan. 12:53

Looking forward to different content! Totally understandable. Burnout and being overwhelmed is no party.

Leon is done. 😢 Zippo is ill. The Lawnmower Lady is not posting. Chickanic closed her shop. Teryl is getting out of the business. Sad sad days. I understand. I enjoy your content. You gotta do you. Family first. My daughter is engaged to a young man with a 5 year old and 2 year old, so I’m instantly a grandpa. Life changes. Peace and prayers to you and your family. I will watch what you post. If it is less, so be it.
