Ableton Live Looping Performance Setup: Improvise Like A Pro

2022-11-22に共有
Live looping setup that took me 10 years to create, because it's based on improvisation. After thinking about user interaction with electronic devices for many years (and after even writing a masters dissertation about it) I have come to the conclusion, that we can create an improvisation/jamming setup that fully encourages uninterrupted flow by these 4 categories: knowledge, flexibility, positive feedback loop and workflow. Have you tried it and how does it work for you?

  • What do you think about impro/jamming with flow? Any difficulties or are you interested to do it more?
  • Ableton should invite you to their Made in Ableton Live series. Your enthusiasm and honesty are contagious, and lots of fun to watch.

I don't think you realise how much of an inspiration you are to us. I'm an Ableton gal on and off for about 7 years (still learning always) currently coming out of a music production rut, you reminded me of how much I really love this and and how important this really is to me. At some point I started to struggle trying to fit myself into one music genre/style box, as I always produced more experimental and mostly wrote for others but releasing for myself became a big question mark, with all the socials and etc and I burnt out eventually altogether. It's was not that easy to get out of this especially without an enthusiastic supportive team to help (yet). You actually helped me reignite my passion that I had for so long and reminded me that this can be genuine and beautiful, and this IS important. And I 100% agree with you on saying yes and embracing mistakes, one of the most valuable lessons applicable to life in general in my opinion Huge thank you to from the bottom of my heart ❤ Btw your improv is absolutely amazing. I'm re-listening for the 10th time 💪Huge Bravo, you are super talented & skilled and bring so much light with what you do! Even on rainy days, please remember how much value you bring to this community and what crazy positive impact you have with what you do 🙏

I’ve been doing this in front of random people like busking and at coffee gigs because all technical and foundational knowledge all seem to disappear in front of the awareness of people being in your creative space. Doing that often is helping so much
  • The first 6 and a half mins of this video is so on point. I can’t wait to get home and make my live improv rig!
  • It is your enthusiasm that does it for me. I learnt a lot from your intuitive preference setting from your other videos and I've been able to integrate push2 into my live performance to make a whole lot of difference. Your works are indeed very inspiring. Thank you 💕
  • Super cool! Really enjoyed these techniques. Thanks for sharing your vulnerability and experience/wisdom.

  • Wow I found this super helpful and inspiring. Thank you for this.
  • Great video, looked like fun also looked like a great studio/ rehearsal room.
  • Thank you very much for making it. So honest of you at the end. Really like to include some overhead views of the room. I will sign up for the Push 2 courses.
