  • For once, she's not dealing with ignorant people with an out of control dog or people buying a dog for the wrong reasons. This is a very cute puppy and the people just need some guidance. He's a sweetie!

I love that this lady got help as soon as she felt overwhelmed. Pets are always more work than expected, and especially a puppy when they've never had a dog before! It shows how committed she is that she got help so quickly and didn't let things get completely out of control
  • He's such a gorgeous, well mannered pup. I don't know how Victoria resisted stealing him

What a great family to ask for help while he was so young! He's sweet and calm now, but from experience I've seen that clingy dogs can become SUPER anxious and obnoxious if not treated to socialize early on. It's great that Victoria has built up her business that she can work with open families who just want to help their pups rather than the more toxic ones she used to work with in earlier years.

"He's like a child". Yes. A puppy is a child. Puppies are incredibly high maintenance, especially if there is no other dog in the house. She said he's scared to walk? He's a puppy! He's never seen that much movement before in his life! He's never been that stimulated before. Come on!
  • Guys, theres nothing wrong with new to dog/puppy parents needing some guidance and not realizing they may be doing things wrong or misunderstanding things. Everyone has to start somewhere, no one is going to magically know all the answers or know exactly what to right off the bat.
  • All these people on here commenting about how this family did no research. The pets on this show are scheduled months before filming, there is a long vetting process and setup before Victoria comes out. This family likely called Victoria when they knew they were getting a puppy, and agreed to do the show so they filmed their new puppy owner struggles in preparation for filming. I think the episode is great, because the purpose was specifically to help me puppy owners learn what to do with the same problems almost every puppy has.

I really appreciated seeing Victoria take on a family with zero experience with dogs and so early on too! Majority of the people who come to her have usually owned the dog for at least a year or more?? As someone who has never had a dog also, this advice was so insightful. Victoria is so patient with both people and pups, she genuinely wants both parties to succeed.
  • @moredena
Ah yes. "I got a puppy and did no research on how to care for a puppy, therefore he's a horrible dog!" People never see their own failures in what to expect. This is the calmest pitbull/American bulldog puppy I have ever seen. He's so sweet. He's just a scared baby who has not been socialized at all. Poor dog.
  • @Opie_98
I’m curious— either Victoria wanted to put out more videos about puppy care and how to start out orrr, this family did absolutely zero research on how to care for a dog..
  • @r.h.o.
When my dog was 18 weeks, I couldn't leave the door open. He would just run like the wind out the door with the whole household chasing after him 😂 What a well behaved puppy
  • @xBriYeon
The kids were so sweet!!!!! And Shaq is insanely beautiful, I'm glad they got the tools and training from Victoria to help him <3
  • @flyezilla
It makes me so happy that the family was open to shifting their mindset about him, and realising they had the wrong ideas. He seems like the sweetest little guy.
  • He's got his tail and ears and look how GORGEOUS that is!!!!!!
  • That is a seriously well behaved puppy, he doesn’t do a lot of things puppies still do at that age, I do have to say that just hope that the mom has taken the advice as well as I think she has and does well with Shaq.
  • @hightopv1352
Shaq is so chill. He was just needed a little puppy training. Very adorable pup.
  • @clorofolle
He's a cutie, and I was actually surprised to see how calm and well behaved he looks (at least in the episode!). Honestly they seem to really have lucked out with this lil pupper. And the way he looks with love at those kids - you know they're gonna be best friends for life. Good for them! :D
  • I haven't even seen the whole episode yet, but a front harness, treats on the initial walk, letting the pup sleep in your room in his crate with favorite toys, and being firm about saying no and sweet with lots of praise will help this little boy
