Wow! You guys, I'm so blown away by the response to this video! I've recently acquired a proper microphone, and once the quarantine is over, I hope to start posting videos with more regularity. Thank you all for the support!

Snape: “Yes Potter, I am the HALF BLOOD PRINCE” Harry: awkwardly shakes head Snape: awkwardly runs away

I'm still traumatised by "BACK AGAIN, EH?? AND THERE ARE STILL SEVERAL SHIELDS TO COLLECT!!"
  • @SuperWiiBros08
Is funny how Hogwarts Legacy seems to be exactly what you've been wishing
  • @AnwarAzlan7
The first 3 Harry Potter games have a special place in my heart
  • @HydraTower
Chamber of Secrets on PC is unironically one of the best games I've played.
  • @Xehanort10
The thing I found funniest about the PS2 Chamber of Secrets game is how Ron would get tired and go to bed after doing literally anything even if a mission was set in the early hours of the morning. Hell he tells Harry he's going to bed right after the morning's flying lesson.

The PC versions of the first three games are simply amazing. Watching this inspired me to reinstall them. They're not perfect - maybe if they had been a little more open world - but they nail the atmosphere. The music by Jeremy Soule, who is better known as the composer for the Elder Scrolls games, is a huge part of it. The games, being movie tie-ins, suffered a lot when it came to story and world-building. Like a lot of other movie tie-ins, they would cover only the bare basics so as to not 'spoil' the movie - basically ensuring that anyone playing the game who had not seen the film or at least read the book would have no clue what was happening. It's a shame for HP especially because the books had already been out for years by the time each movie was released, so their hesitation to adequately present a complete story just came across as silly. To this day, the gold standard for HP games remains that original trilogy and the Lego Harry Potter games, which you didn't cover here but I imagine you must have played. If not, I really recommend them. Despite being Lego games, they really capture the Hogwarts atmosphere well and make great use of the soundtracks.

Ngl the Lego Harry Potter games are the best in the series, they make several clever callbacks to major movie moments while also handling the dark material in a very light hearted manner and also getting to explore was a major bonus
  • @Nyexcellente
EA really did ruin the games after Prisoner of Azkaban, youre so right. I hope the new HP RPG devs are taking notes from your video
  • @Herrjosefk
I can't believe it took me two years to stumble across this.
  • @AlphaMunky
Can we appreciate the musical score for the first 3 Harry Potter games. Jeremy Soule captured the essence of magic of the wizard world
  • @AitorMolina.
A game like Bully Scholarship Edition set in the Potterverse would be amazing.
  • @Jerryx29
Wow i played the PC version of HP3 and absolutely loved it and the version you've talked about here is COMPLETELY different.
  • @MiharuTheFox
"Stealth missions give me anxiety" Saaame. Time limits too.
  • I like how in the early games the characters were stylized witch in turn gives the early game a unique feel. But in the later games they were trying to make the characters look like the actors from the movies, witch makes them feel uncanny.
  • This is by far the best HP videogames review I've ever seen, keep making videos like this!
  • @matthewnour97
Oh man! You didn't play prisoner of Azkaban on pc?? That's how I played it and it was so much fun. The best part for me was when Hermione used transfiguration and you could play as a wee rabbit or a flying, fire breathing baby dragon
  • @SavoxYT
The PS1 games and the PS2 version of Prisoner of Azkaban hold a special place in my heart. The music and atmosphere were never matched in the rest of the series.
  • The evolution of the harry potter games really has shown the Downhill of EA and how greedy they became with their games and how much they don't care about them now
