Powder snow can easily be broken by hand. You can also wear leather boots to avoid sinking in it.

The unholy transformation would actually look like a real angel if you replace the heads with eyeballs, the reason why we don't see most angels depicted this way is because they transform into a more human form so people who see them don't die from heart attacks.
