  • I will be 68 in a few months & have come to the conclusion that waking up every morning IS a special occasion to get dressed up!!!
  • First time watching you; I love your way of encouraging & motivating—without shaming or communicating that everyone needs to dress just like you! Thanks and lots of good ideas!
  • You’re as delicate as a big sister helping the rest of us little sisters💕 thank you!
  • @gypsybelle4757
The kids saying “where are we going?“ 😂 I felt that.
  • @annas5303
can I just say ... you look radiant. And definitely look like the right person to be speaking about this topic. Everything you're wearing looks carefully selected, flatters you and your hair is a goal for sure. Changing out of PJs is somedays a struggle, esp on Sundays, but I have to agree that when I change I do feel better and am definitely more productive. Sometimes the algorithm is a blessing
  • You are so on point 👏 I have swopped out synthetic fabrics for linen, cotton, wool and some viscose. Of cause I do have a few things that I love that have some acrylic or polyester in but I’m much more aware of what clothing is made of. I want my clothes to last I’m not a fan of fast fashion

This is one of the first times I've 100 per cent agreed on every point. Dressing up to go for a coffee, why not. No one knows that you may be just going directly home after and not to a special event. 🎉🎉🎉

I love thrift shopping because clothes from past decades are often there and I can find cotton, silk, rayon, and linen.

I need this. I’m 39. A stay at home homeschooling mom and for years I’ve lost my personal style. I feel frumpy most days.

This is so kindly and sincerely stated. I am much much older and dealing with a very different, post-menopausal body than the one I had when I was a young dancer, (well into my 50s). But I still got some very helpful information from this video, thank you! 😃❤️

Your videos are always so helpful. I'm finding that I only seem to dress nice for a special occasion and look very grumpy day to day. I want to make efforts to change that. My grandma always said that her family were the ones she wanted to look best for and I want to start emulating that!

I've found some nice linen tops and bottoms at TJ Maxx this season. If you have the patience to wade through the iffy items, you can find some real gems.
  • @momoffour2072
Slips seem to have gone out of style, but they make such a difference in how skirts and dresses look.

Yeeeesss to fabric/quality. It makes a huge difference. Polyester was so big for so long and is the main reason I’ve struggled even as a pretty young thing. Now I’m in my 40’s, and I wish I had known this sooner. Example: we are planning my uncle’s funeral. I don’t usually ever wear black. It’s too harsh for me. It’s also 103 degrees right now. But I realized that if I buy in a quality fabric, it will work. I bought a black linen vintage-y style. The linen is just lovely in texture and drape. It’s also less harsh in saturation than black polyester or rayon or viscose. The only thing I didn’t love were the buttons (shirt dress style) because they were plastic. So today, I bought real wooden buttons and will swap them out. My uncle always dressed the part for occasions, and I feel ready.

Honestly, learning my Kibbe body type, style essence and color season helped me a lot (Romantic, Ingenue, Bright Spring). So when I wear frilly, girly stuff with a waist emphasis in some saturated color-BOOM I look my best even if it’s not trendy.
  • 5:20 I love that! you deserve to wear nice underwear all the time even during that time of the month! YESS! I have stage 4 endometriosis. Previously had extremely long heavy periods. I already felt gross & terrible half the month… then I had ugly unflattering undies on half the month. I really just felt ‘bluhh’. Finally, tossed the ugly old ones. I have cheaper, but still nice, pretty, cotton undies for my period. Makes a world of difference
  • Not me taking actual pen and paper notes👌🏼 📝 thank you, so helpful!
  • Just getting dressed is a huge one for me. Even if I don't manage to get dressed until after lunch. Sometimes those seasons of life get you good, but simply putting on a new shirt (even if it's with my leggings still!) and a necklace or a ring just really lifts my mood and makes me feel less frumpy and blah. And I'd love a styling video. My third baby will be 9 in a few months but she definitely left a mom belly behind! Knowing how to style around that would be nice!
