Diamond T Project (7000 Subs)

Published 2024-03-28
Thanks to everyone who's subscribed, just passed the 7000 mark. Quick look at the 1948 Diamond T 509S. Added the fender and grill to get an idea of the space I have available for the Detroit 4-53T.:)

I too, am looking forward to more of this build. That's a nice engine size choice too.
  • Thanks for the fill in on the build. The Spicer aux trans is a great idea.I gather the Ford chassis has park brake on the rear wheels.A park brake on the back of the Spicer will be a pain to deal with.
  • Congrats on the 7K subs!!!!! Just cut the front off the 35 and add it to the front one and have a 4 door and you get the rear window. It's coming along nicely!!! Thanks!

Thank you for all of your content, you helped inspire me to get a 2008 6.4L F250

Yeah, you definitely need a cab extension, like an 'extended' cab truck --1/2cab. It would make such a more comfortable roomy interior for you and a passenger with extra room in back for jump seats or a small bench. And like you said it'd be better proportionally too. A true crew cab 4 door would be really sweet but thats a lot more work with 2 additional doors to deal with(you do have the extra cab to do it with, I'd say shrink back doors a lil tho?). Idk man how deep you wanna get into this project? I'll be waiting & watching for the progress to come. You definitely have the proper frame setup to start from tho! This is gonna be epic! Dual 5" chrome stacks up the back of the cab would look so nice too!👍🏻👌🏻🤔🛠️🔧🔩⛓️🚜⚡💥💨💨⚠️🛢️🚧 Happy Easter 🐰🐣

Nice idea for an old truck build. The modern chassis "should" be trouble free for getting parts, as opposed to far more scarce Diamond T parts. Looking forward to seeing this progress.
  • You inspired me to put that 377 Pete on my f450 chassis. Already has a Cummins l10 w/ 653 auto so it will be fun on that front end. No rear axle so I think I'm going to find a truck one and run air rear brakes. The rear axle is the only thing I'd have to buy.
  • There are a few companies that make super single 20" wheels for that truck. Wheel adapters are kinda sketchy at best! Looking forward to your build!
  • Just found your channel and your doing a REO with a Detroit,, you just got another subscriber,, very cool

You need to get your hands on a Detroit 16v192 or 20v192 and figure out something sick to put that beast in 🤤

Could you attach the cab of the 37 to the back of the 48? Make it a crew cab!!

a 6v53 would be nice. shorter and you might not have to cut into the firewall
