As a fellow 30 year old- Christian also dating a Korean Christian whose father is a missionary (with the intent to marry after dating 1 year), her story resonated with me. I am personally happy to hear that they chose to be responsible and do pre-marital counseling given the really short courting period. I understand but do caution and hope they stick to “dating” and getting to know one another, as people bring a lot of trauma/baggage and it takes time to understand who you are in a relationship and what you are setting yourself up for when seeking a partner. Marriage is a serious life commitment and should not be taken lightly or “glorified” especially during the ‘honeymoon’ phase of a relationship. Remember to always keep God at the center and may He bless your marriage!

Dry the flowers out from the proposal and then put them in a vase later as dried flower arrangement. That way you can save them forever. Thats what i did with my wedding bouqet and i treasure it 😊. Congratulations!

I’m so proud of you. Many don’t talk about this but when a man and woman know what they want this is the result. I’m 47, black and educated and met my husband when I was 18 years old. First year in college and he proposed to me 4 months after dating and married 9 months later right before my sophomore year in college. We’re celebrating our 29th anniversary this year and still love being with one another. It’s all about priorities and learning how to adjust and grow as time go. We all change but it’s up to you to change with it. Congratulations to you both and enjoy one another.

It is different as you are both a bit older, financially stable, life is on track, communicating etc. I knew my husband was the one the first time I saw him, he said he knew as well and that first time literally was us passing on the stairs. By the way it was leap year so I asked him out😂 and he said yes. We were together just short of 50 years. ❤ Congratulations, can’t wait to see the wedding arrangements.

Have you had a major disagreement/fight yet? Personally, I feel like it's necessary to really butt heads on a subject at least once before getting married. I think it's important to know how you and your partner handle disagreements. Just my opinion. Good luck!
