  • it is a shame Suzuki doesn't have this kind bike available as new anymore. Great video mate. I enjoyed. Cheers.

Had one in 06 and just bought a low milage SV1000s here in Australia. Hard to find here. Rode it 600kms back in 38 degrees C the same day. I'm 80 next year.

She’s a keeper. Will be nice to see her in the flesh again soon.

I really enjoy your videos. They are... authentic. I can tell that for you motorcycling is a means to an end. It's all about the ride, the wind on your face, not the bike. Youtube is full of posers and "wannabes " , of people desperately trying to look cool and hip when in reality they're just making a fool of themselves. So keep your videos coming. Um forte abraço, Alex

I bought my 03 S new and still love it. There is nothing new even remotely similar so I will just keep it!
  • @Audfile
I just bought a new 650 after much research, with the same intention, i wanted a do it all machine right at the edge of being a sportbike, but truly comfortable and reliable. And i love twins. She's about to get the whole slew of upgrades.

Awesome review buddy, Can't believe how long you've owned that now..! See you in the week mate.!
  • @springy-2112
Yeah that's a good engine . Worked well in the DL detuned again. That bike with the high pipes and faux knobblies! That was funny when you sold your strom and got the xjr. And I sold my xjr and bought a strom. Then I swapped it for that bmw which I hated. The steam train seemed to appreciate the sv. Peace and love brother 👍🏻☮❤
  • I've had the sv1000s and Sachs roadster 800 (still have the latter) . Your review is spot on. My sv also had the worn basket rattle. It was a total blast and underrated imo. Ride safe 🖖

Just put a deposit on a K7 Classic too. Have owned a K3 S for a few years but sold it last year and regretted it. And have had a GSR750 since but it’s no SV. Can’t wait for my new one. Nice video! 👍🏼

Good review of a good reliable machine. Suzuki seem very adept at producing well thought out 'all rounders' that do exactly what they were designed for, without resorting to too much fashion induced hyperbole & name dropping of parts. Their stuff works, & will do so reliably across it's full range until it wears out, eg. you don't have to immediately swap out half the running gear to make it tolerable on the way home. (FVQ shocks & most 70's OEM tyres anyone? : ) Never got to run an SV, but those that did would turn up time after time on the same bike, seemingly more than happy to do so, year on year etc. . . a good horse. P.S. Wish I could buy a new Busa, stick it in the lounge & spend 20yrs admiring what you actually get for 16 grand! : )

Love the V twins, I have a GSX1400 which I love too, but I think after seeing this I will be searching for another steed in my garage.... An SV 1000 twin, probably the S as I've got the 1400 cruiser.
  • @baar_nii
I've never enjoyed any of my bikes as much as I did my K7 classic. I only sold that as I had to move countries, and I am already looking for one here.

I've had a k5 sv1000n brand new, and I loved it, until the clutch basket started to vibrate the bike to pieces. Back then nobody knew what the issue was. I took it to the Dealer, at least 5 times, to diagnose the problem, and they keep saying that it was normal... The end result, was, Suzuki lost a loyal customer( I've owned 5 Suzuki's brand new before the SV)I love the design of the new GSX-S1000, but I've lost the confidence on the brand. So, I'm gonna keep my NC700x, I find the bike ugly, but reliable as a Mack truck. 👍

Loved this video! Spot on as always. Though as if I needed another reason to miss my SV650S! It’s funny because when I part ex. for my tiger 955i I remember looking for someone to swap it for the sv1000n. Didn’t work out in the end, but always said one day I’ll buy one as my second ride. One day lol. Top marks for the end shot. What a neat ending with all the different modes of transport swinging past!
  • Have mine TL 1000s front end ,, custom yokes fat bars ,, and i put the back shock off my K6GSXR 1000 ,,put braided hose on everything and it is a big improvement,,i really like it and a 42tooth super sprox rear sprocket from the k6 ,, it's a great motorcycle ☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland tre elimator and sips blanking kit ,,O2delete ,,i really rate it to 😮☘️☘️☘️ from northern Ireland 😊

Quite an extraordinary gal, you’ve got there, Dr. D.! I’ve got an ‘03 bike in the garage myself… hope you’re feeling stronger each day. Looking forward to see you and Del on your forthcoming Q&A. 🏍👍🏍

As a fellow SV Classic Owner for the last couple of years it was nice to see someone else's opinion of this bike. I just love the mid range grunt and noise these V twins produce 💪 Btw do you recall the name/manufacturer of the fly screen your using ? I have a puig fitted at present but it's a little too tall for the looks I want. Regards
