  • Absolutely charming. I was married to a wonderful old fashioned woman from rural northern Mississippi for 21 years. She died but boy could she cook. Fantastic bisquets, you name it. On our first few dates I invited her over and cooked dinner for her, usually some weird hamburger helper. On about the 4th date, when I went to go into the kitchen, a funny thing happened. With no words, I found that she was already in the kitchen more or less blocking the entrance. She owned the kitchen after that ha ha . My God, she must have loved me. And, what a SWEET love it was. I miss you Betty.
  • How refreshing to see someone on here who says 2 ingredients and it's actually just 2. Going to follow to see more. Honesty is so rare these days.

I added a little sugar to this recipe and used them for strawberry shortcake! So fast and easy and delicious! Thank you!!!

I am 76 and have been making homemade buttermilk biscuits since I was 15 and took Home Economics in high school. My mom was a wonderful cook but she worked full time as the private secretary to the Vice- President of Public Relations at Bell Helicopter in Ft. Worth so, bless her heart, she didn’t have time to do a lot of home cooking for breakfast…she did on the weekends though. I have always cooked from scratch for my 7 children and my husband. I love cooking, canning, baking…feeding my family the old fashioned way. I love your flour, sugar and cornmeal jars. I also love that you are calm and you don’t have a lot of music! Thank you. You’re my hero! I went to the store to buy self-rising flour and heavy cream right after I watched your video and made them. They turned out absolutely perfect and I am a horrible cook! Thanks again!!
  • I'm 70 on a pretty tight income, my wife is disabled and I take care of two grandchildren, ages 5 and 13. I've had to learn how to feed them and this recipe for biscuits is perfect for me. simple, quick, and delicous. And I can make them for a small fraction of the cost of canned biscuits. Thank you for sharing this. Oh, I love your presentation style too.
  • I’ve made these biscuits many times now and let me tell you- they are INCREDIBLE. For anyone who is looking for an honest review from someone who has tried these, I can honestly say these are so delicious. I usually make homemade buttermilk biscuits from scratch and you can hardly tell the difference with these. When I have the time and feel like going the extra mile, I’ll do the buttermilk ones, but these two ingredients biscuits are great, company always loves them, and no one will be able to tell how quick and easy they are when they come out hot from the oven, slathered with butter and grape jelly (my favorite way to eat them) 🤤🙏🏻 I hope everyone tries these!
  • The secret to bacon is to bake it. After doing this the first time I will never fry it again. Lay your bacon in a row on aluminum foil and bake at 350 till desired crispness. every slice will come out identical and it will not curl and the grease will not splatter. The aluminum foil makes for easy clean up. I was amazed the first time I did it !!

It is so easy to fall in love with this lady. Her manners, demeanor and lovely attitude just melts my heart. Her kitchen looks so warm and inviting. My mother had a big red heart in her kitchen that said, "THE KITCHEN IS the HEART of the HOME". That is exactly who this lady reminds me of. Everyone gathered in my mothers' kitchen and were welcomed at her table. Neighbors loved and adored her.

Best biscuit recipe EVER! OMG! It’s unbelievably easy and the biscuits are perfectly tender and golden with a beautiful oven rise. Bravo!

Thank you for not having dreadful background music. Recipe looks wonderful!
  • @Lillith760
I've been baking for 35 years and I never knew you could make biscuits with just these 2 ingredients. Brilliant. They look perfect.
  • These are just like my Grandma use to make. She wouldn’t use a cutter, she would just spoon the batter onto skillet. Gave me tears of joy remembering her ❤️
  • @ryanslauderdale
Those biscuits look worthy of a Whataburger breakfast menu.

(For those of y’all that don’t know, it’s meant to be a compliment, because WB has some of the best biscuits in the fast food breakfast industry, I think.)

Southern people are so sweet and creative by utilizing things we city folks don’t think about…..ty

I just love this. No fancy video production -- this was more like visiting grandma's house. She graciously teaches us how to make biscuits (looks so easy, can't wait to try!), and in the middle has to go turn the bacon, and we're there while she's washing the dishes and wiping down the counters too. So comfortable.
  • @Quarksi
Honestly watching this video for the vibes. She's so calm and gentle with everything it makes me feel calm too
  • How refreshing to see that it is really 2 Ingredients, not like those clickbaiters who say only 2 ingredients and then end up putting 5 ingredients into the mix. thank you for sharing. Love from South Africa.
  • I made your biscuits about two weeks ago.....they were ok, but a little hard. I did use 1/2 and 1/2. I made them this morning with heavy cream and they are magnificent!! So tasty! Thank you for this simple recipe!! :)
