HOW TO MAKE KWEK KWEK with MANONG SAUCE! Filipino Street Food!

Kwek Kwek is a popular and delicious Filipino Street food made of chicken and quail eggs, coated with an orange colored batter made of flour, cornstarch, water, baking powder, seasined with salt and pepper. It is then deep fried until crispy! Manong sauce is made with sugar, soy sauce, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Cornstarch or flour is then added to make it thick. Cooked for 5 minutes or until desired consistency is achieved. The combination of kwek kwek and manong sauce is so delightful!

INGREDIENTS:
4 Boiled Chicken Eggs
20 Boiled Quail Eggs
1 cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 cup Corn Starch
2 tbsp Baking Powder
1/4 tsp Orange food color
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 cup Water

For the Manong Sauce:
1/4 cup Sugar
2 tbsp Soy Sauce
2 cups Water
1 small diced Onion
3 cloves minced Garlic
1 Red Thai Chili (siling labuyo)
Salt and pepper to taste
