Noon, ang expectation lang ng mga pilipino sa boxing lang tayo may chance na magkaka roon ng gold sa olympics (base sa history ng olympics); pero ngaun, naunahan pa ng weightlifting (last olympics)... tapos at ang nakakamangha na di talaga akalain sa gymnastics pa magkakaroon ng another gold sa olympics, na dominant ng mga westerners, at east asian countries (china, japan, korea),, pero ngaun back-to-back gold pa! dahil sa tagumpay na yan ni carlos yulo.. dito lang talaga makikita na kailangan lang talaga ng suporta kasi marami pang filipino grassroots na puedeng maging future carlos yulo sa gymnastics, at sa iba pang sports olympics.!

I just finished watching GMA's Public Affairs YouTube video with Jessica Soho titled "the first Filipino athlete to win 2 Olympic Gold Medals." I was wondering and confused if the title was a mistake because Carlos had just won 1 gold medal from yesterday's floor exercise and I was not aware that his event for the vault finals is today. Then I immediately looked for other videos to confirm the news of winning his 2nd Olympic medal and bam!!!! Oh my God!!!! I still can't believe what my eyes are seeing in the newsfeeds/videos. I cried with so much happiness for Carlos and for the Philippines. This is a historic moment for the Philippines. Winning two Olympic gold medals in a single Olympic game and it is Carlos Edriel Yulo for the first time. Before the Paris 2024 Olympic Summer Games commenced, many of us were praying for Carlos and to all Filipino athletes to win gold medals. Many of us didn't stop praying for them for their health and for their focus in their trainings and routines during the competition. A 12-year-old child said in 2012, that his dream is to win gold in the Olympic for the Philippines, after 12 years he fulfilled it. This is incredible and unbelievable moment and my hair in my arms are not yet settling down from the extreme goozies. Not just one..... but two shining Olympic Golds!!!! What??? Congratulations Caloy! Finally, your hard work and sacrifices paid off. We are so proud of you. Thank you for bringing honor to our beloved Philippines and for inspiring all of us.
