The combination of the engine sound and manual shifts is absolutely incredible> What a car!
  • I remember seeing the late Jo Bonnier crash and somersault a T70 Mk 3 at Brands Hatch all the way from the exit of Graham Hill bend to the infield at Clearways.  As it went it shed first the bodywork then wheels, suspension and the entire engine and gearbox assembly. Fearing the worst the marshalls were quickly on the scene to see if Jo was still with us. Apart from a few bruises and a small cut on one hand he was ok. His first words to the astounded rescuers was "I feel dizzy!" Eric Broadly designed one tough mutha of a race car!

I’ve always liked the Lola T70 Mk3 beautiful racer.
  • I'd like to see side-by-side comparison between the Lola and the Ford GT40 maybe even put both on the track one against the other
  • A guy down the street from me has a Lola T70 I just love to hear him drive by. Don't need to see him to know it was him.
  • Ahhh Jo Bonnier's car. Lovely restoration. I remember these from my teens as they were hammering around Oulton Park. The T70 remains my all-time favourite racing car.

This Lola is the most beautiful race car of them all !!!!!!!!!! That Yellow really pops...............
  • How could any body not like this? Awesome! I saw some Lola Can Am and F5000 at Laguna Seca in the '70's!! Also a few at Sear Point.

The fact that they keep doing them is a miracle and amazing

In period the 305 cu Chevvy was good for 450 bhp. I cannot believe that it is now good for 650bhp with points ignition and Lucas mechanical injection.
  • What symphony does that motor offer! I imagine it is a car that you feel in your hands and feet, vehicles that you have to know how to feel, hear and more, for a perfect orchestration.
