we all know Whitty wasn't the first ever created mod, he was the first character mod to actually have his own content which is why we just say he's the first mod. Edit: B-Sides was the first REMIX mod, Vs Whitty was a standalone mod, meaning: he wasn't a reskin and his songs were not another version of an already made song

My guess was actually going to be B-sides. That mod came really early in FNF’s history, and for many people it was a good introduction to playing more difficult charts.

Whitty was only the first full week mod I was here before whitty and can say: whitty was really important for the game modding community,introducing custom songs and custom characters instead of reskins

I knew it had to be SodaMindReader oc mod, since at first, i saw it on wiki, and at second, everybody know that B-Sides was released before Whitty. I mean hell, Whitty was inspired from Week 6, and Week 6 was released in early 2021 rather than the very end of 2020

When Vs. Whitty came out, fnf started to appeal to those who like a challenge. Like, a brain-meltingly hard one. so began the 'renaissance' of fnf mods, two of the largest made by the same creator, Banbuds. One of those two re-ignited the fandom/community behind Madness Combat (Vs. Tricky), and the other one reminded all of the nostalgia of old pokemon creepypastas we probably read or listened to, way too late at night for our own good. Of course, both of them were mind-numbingly difficult. Tricky's was super fast, and hypno's had a mechanic. people began to look at fnf as a way to give extra life to that one thing they wanted more conversations about. That one OC that needed a spark to flesh it out. That next challenge to break your fingers. Admit it, you've noticed it too; FNF has changed, revamped, or altogether created communities by doing what it does best: Allowing a community to build itself. FNF acts like a tool for you to do exactly that. Of course, the game also spurs LOADS of drama all the time, which, while morally awful, also generates lots of discussion around it constantly, keeping it clinging to relevancy all the while longer. That, plus the fact that music often can have more replayability than some games do, means FNF stays alive even longer too. Music is special. It has something to it that feels like a million words despite not having a single one. When you put something you value (An original character, your favorite game character, or even yourself) into the form of music, you give it life in a way that is, simply put, unrivaled. You immortalize it. I could say more, but i think i've made my point clear: FNF Is a great game and, for all intents and purposes, is a community defibrilator.

whitty may not have been the first mod but they were the first mod character with custom content and such for the game (such as new songs,a new setting,new animations)

To be honest, mods that have original characters created by the mod creators themselves seem to be the most base game friendly.

Wow, it's simple, but the simplicity of the mod and the charm of the artstyle really makes this good. I'm a bit sad that I can't even something as simple as that. I don't own a computer, I'm a decent artist but I'm not that good with complicated poses, and I know nothing about coding. I saw people complaining that there aren't many good mods now in this comment section. Well I think that's not true, but if people gave me a chance and helped me, I would do my best to make great mods. But I can't. A few people accepted to help me but they're all busy with their own projects. And it sucks because my first mod has almost all of the assets ready. It just lacks a freeplay song and putting everything together.

Whitty is not the first mod to ever enter the GameBanana, but it is the first full mod to jumpstart the legacy.

Technically this is the first reskin mod. But I wonder what the first mod with icons and songs was?

woah i guessed the first mod had to be a reskin since those were really popular in the beginning but i didn't expect the reskin to be that high quality!

I was one of the first people to be a fan of FNF (when there were only 2 weeks in the game), and one of the first mods i ever saw was a christmas reskin, and a carol mod, which is a girlfriend reskin. Its very crazy to believe on how far modding has gone.

I never knew about that, the only thing i knew was: The first - whitty second - hex third - tricky demo and all of these were demos. so yeah. nice to hear that there was a mod before that!

I found out about fnf in November 2020 with a gameplay of week 2,it’s incredible how things have changed in 2 years
