  • Sachi's death in this version of the story is doubly tragic because of how they changed her backstory. she was so afraid of her lag being the reason her friends die that she ran away, but in the end, it was her choice to set the NCP to auto-loot that gets them killed. something she had complete control over, unlike her lag. crazy good writing!
  • so interesting fact, the abridged is widely considered superior to the actual anime so much that many of us view SAO Abridged as a soft reboot of the original dub and show.
  • @volrag
Sword. It's theorised that since Keita never finished the tutorial, the first time he ever jumped in SAO was when he was jumping over the edge.
  • @cr0nus01
Not the fucking hat on Alicia’s head 😂
  • @Drocksas
+50 charisma on a hat is the greatest way they could've decided to explain this entire episode. I love it so much.
  • @GentleIceZ
25:55 Fun fact about this: St Nick did this at night to not embarrass the father/family, which is where Santa leaving gifts at night come from. Also one of the purses of gold he gave wound up in one of the girl's stockings, which is why we hang stockings
  • @HaloInverse
"Say it. SAY IT!" "No." "Okay, but what if I put on this hat?" ".....sword."
  • “I hate that goddamn hat!” gonna warn you now: you might cry. This series is made with so much love and care; I stared at the ceiling for hours when I finished the first part.
  • Sword EDIT: Yes, St. Nicholas (the historical figure who inspired Santa Claus/ Father Christmas) is indeed the patron saint of children, sailors, AND prostitutes. In one story, St. Nicholas anonymously gifted a big bag of gold to a poor family so their three daughters wouldn't have to become prostitutes in order to support themselves. Also, he supposedly resurrected (and reassembled) a dead child who was found chopped to pieces inside a pickle barrel.
  • @hmmmooops
Never forget that canonically a lot of people died because they didn't know how to play because this guy stole the tutorial npc
  • Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors, merchants, archers, repentant thieves, prostitutes, children, brewers, pawnbrokers, unmarried people, and students in various cities and countries around Europe.... wiki 😅
  • When Alicia's friend be like "IT'S IN REMISSION!" And Alycia just start cackling like "I did it! I finally got him to say it!"😂
  • @Acorn_Anomaly
I've seen this series so many times, and just before it got to the "...and multiply it by cancer" line, I suddenly remembered what was coming up. I started laughing in advance. The reaction didn't disappoint.
  • @Nerdnumberone
Being able to play the cancer card is basically the only upside to the avalanche of shit that makes up the rest of the experience.
  • @psychronia
The abridged series seriously did this whole arc so much better. The pathos of Sachi hurts much more and the severity of the trauma hits all the deeper. ...Also the leader jumps because he's in debt to the mob.
  • SHE HAS THE CHARISMA HAT WE ARE SO SCREWED!!!!! Also, Kirito is clearly the best, HE HAS TWO SWORDS!!!!! XD
  • @newbaggett
Okay, since the internet and chat is having trouble explaining the patron saint of prostitutes thing, then I will. On the way to becoming the big man himself, Saint Nicolas bought a bunch of prostitutes and paid off their debt, practically freeing them so they'd never have to go through all that again. He was then deemed the patron saint of prostitutes...because he was a hero and a savior to them.
