  • ๐Ÿ˜‚ Senior moments happen to me all the time! Thank you for another great visit.
  • Bamboo oasis! I love that name. I grew up with bamboo in the backyard and I loved it ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ•Š๐Ÿ™
  • My comment in the video that, "a little elf must have come out here and planted rattlesnake beans" is true! I am the elf. I remember now. Between poor germination and damage from deer and rabbit, I had to replant several times. The final attempt had me putting rattlesnake seed in any gap, since that type was doing the best at that time. That's why I was finding rattlesnake beans all around the circle.

Thanks Kaye for taking us on a trip to Bomboo Oasis as it's always a treat to see what Darrell's growing now. Feeding the wildlife seems to be required if you have a garden these days but those bean beetles are just crazy. To those new to gardening, seeing the damage that can happen overnight sure shatters the picture perfect gardens on Pinterest/Instagram. Time to think about a fall crop to make up for some of the summer losses. Have a blessed weekend to you both..
  • Love it when Darrell's on, Kaye, remember him from your earlier videos before you moved to TN! Great video! โค๏ธ
  • Thanks for sharing your visit with Darrell. I always learn something new from him.
  • Thank you Ms. Kaye and Darrell for the visit and update at Bamboo Oasis! What a shame that there was damage to the crops this year! He has the best outlook and attitude about what happened and that is so valuable! Next year will be better! Blessings ๐Ÿ’ž

Oh yesโ€ฆ The dreaded bindweed! Aka morning glory. My nemesis.! over 200 different variance. Those creature like spaghetti, taproots grow so deep into the soil. Every little piece of fibrous root even dead will grow back.. so invasive ! I always appreciate the bamboo oasis episodes. . Youโ€™re right Darrell itโ€™s definitely a lifestyle ๐Ÿ’šGreat episode Kaye! I hope you all enjoyed the pasta sauce ๐Ÿ˜‰
  • great video, it's always good to see you and darrell walking and looking at thing's in the garden. garden looks beautiful!!! thank you for taking us with you.
  • This year, for me, it has been the early heat that has affected everything. No amount of mulching or watering will keep plants going in this heat. I am starting to prep for my fall garden.
  • Great video Kaye and Darrell ๐Ÿ˜‰๐ŸŒฝ๐Ÿ… love is the key, always ๐Ÿ’ž

This year I invested in 'insect netting'. Works really good. Beans are self pollinating.
