They did not have to make Mephistopheles THAT hot 😭😭😭😭

Test one: Is your desire stronger than your guilt? Test two: Is your desire stronger than your wish to have peace? Test three: Is your desire stronger than your craving for revenge?

So, first things first, I love the chess pieces, which show the possible suspects who caused the death of Helena. But this also shows that these suspects also, or most likely, had someone they lost and ended up losing to the game rules because they were so filled with rage and focused on revenge. The last guy—I wanna call him Robin—knew exactly how to get under Logan's skin. Because Logan was so impatient, eager, and angry, it was easy to trick Logan into killing him. And so, Logan became a chess piece, just like the rest of them.
  • "Prove that your sister is more important than your anger". Whoao. This guy is insigthful.

Before shaking hands with Logan, Mephistopheles says “prove that your sister is more important than your anger.” I believe he has already known that what Logan really wants is revenge, in this sense he is more likely to have her soul. Well…just devils being devils.
  • I love that demon. He looks amazing and he didn't just demand her soul in return. He proved her anger to her instead before taking it. That was awesome

I think a lot of people (myself included) would love to watch prequel showing Mephistopheles gathering the other 3 pieces he uses against Logan.

I love how this story went for the character, Logan. She was desperate to bring back her sister by making a pact with a demon, but on her way to completing her tasks she began losing herself to her madness, grief, and rage. The guy who gave her his mask did advise her to move on before she regrets her choice. And the last one whom she achieve in taking his mask, her sister's murderer, made her fail by using psychological tactics. It was a sad ending but the story has a chilling meaning towards choosing between vengeance or acceptance if you truly want to find peace in your tragedies

That ending with Mephistopheles' eyes glowing in the dark like that is haunting. The ballroom sequence is amazing and I love the designs for Helena's killer and Mephistopheles.

The costuming and character design is so beautiful on this one. And the voice acting is spot on! I love the use of chess pieces the entire time, how the first two do little to stop her or even try to warn her. Because they know her, know she's prone to anger and will mess up. And in the end, they were right. The last villain knew exactly how to taunt her to make her lose and I felt so bad for her.

I loved this. I drew me in so much that I was disappointed that she made the wrong decision. It's not that she "forgot" the rules, I don't think she wanted her sister back in the first place. She wanted revenge. And when she got it, she got her reward... her soul being lost.

I love that this film didn’t have a happy ending. Logan was so blinded by anger she forgot the rules to the game, and so she paid the price. You don’t see too many stories that have a bad ending, so it’s really refreshing. Congrats to all who worked on this
  • Not gonna lie- I'd love to see a show like this where it's a similar plot and it shows each character having a reason to summon the demon guy (whether for revenge or whatever) and follow Logan's path, either to succeed or fail, just like Logan. The style gives off a beautiful anime style with a bit of a western like twist which makes it amazing. Not to mention the story was so well written even for a short film!

you guys knew what you were doing when you designed Mephistopheles...
  • " Prove that your sister is more important than your anger." What an interesting line, it feels more as though he's pushing her towards virtue than a trap... (P.S. Trying to learn French & this channel definitely helps. Absolutely stunning artwork & character design btw^^ I loved the perception of the second opponent & the brashness of the last. Le Mal reminds me a bit of Xelef from A Tale of Crowns, just w/that trickster attitude.)

french voice acting is always on point, this was incredible!!

Why was the murderer so hot? It's not fair to mess with my moral compass like that.
