Join us as we embark on a three-day road trip adventure in one of the most stunning locations in the UK – Isle of Skye and the Scottish Highlands! We're convinced you'll want to add this magnificent place to your travel list too. Our adventure begins with a delightful pit stop at Manuela's Wee Bakery during our 5-hour drive from Glasgow to the Isle of Skye, Scotland. On our first full day in Isle of Skye, we found dinosaur footprints on An Corran Beach and marveled at the enchanting Fairy Pools. We faced a bit of a challenge finding lunch in Portree, but we lucked out with some amazing fish and chips from The Hungry Gull in Staffin, near our lodging. The next day saw us further exploring the picturesque capital town of Portree, complete with a 2-hour sightseeing boat tour, the Sound of Raasay Wildlife Cruise with Stardust Boat Trips. On our final day, we gave a tour of our glamping pod at the fantastic Flodigarry Pods, a unique glamping experience in the more remote, northern part of Skye. The tranquility and luxury of our stay was invigorating and we would definitely recommend them as a great option for accommodations on Isle of Skye. After leaving Skye, we made our way over to another part of the Highlands we highly anticipated visiting: Loch Ness and Nessieland. We kept travelling through Inverness, ultimately ending our travels at Doune Castle, the iconic filming location from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, a visit we were particularly excited about.

  • Have you been to the Isle of Skye? What's your favorite thing to do in Skye? If you haven't been, what would you most want to do? • You two truly are the most delightful couple. I love seeing the UK through your eyes. I’m an American who lives in Edinburgh, and I absolutely love Scotland so much.

Aaah thank you for 'Carly could not care less about the footprints' which is correct in British English 😊 x
  • I am English and saw quite a few places in Scotland when I went on a cruise of the British Isles. One of the favourite places I went to apart from Edinburgh was the beautiful town of Tobermory. The town had colourful painted houses like you have shown here in this video. Another very nice town is Oban which is a fishing town, there are some amazing shops there should you want to buy tartan goods. Scotland is amazing for the beautiful scenery. In the 1960's I was a trawlerman on trawlers from Fleetwood in Lancashire England and we passed by Tobermory on the way out to Iceland and on the return journey to England. Great memories of my time at sea. I can recommend visiting Dunoon also and you can get a ferry from Glasgow to there. Thanks for your review of Skye.
  • I LOVE that you stopped at that castle! That's my favourite line from MP&THG! 🏆
  • @crapbag9724
My favourite quote is "I FART IN YOUR GENERAL DIRECTION" which I have been saying to my kids for years and it was fun to see the light bulb go off in there heads when they first watched that scene in the film and heard it said.
  • Im from Suffolk in East Anglia and visited Scotland this time last year. Me and a friend drove the NC500, a route that takes you all around the top of mainland Scotland. I was blown away over and over again by Scotland. I cant wait to return one day.

We stayed in a glamping pod in Glencoe and our view was to die for. Our host was lovely and made us feel very welcomed. The highlands of Scotland is probably my favorite place in the world.
  • @dmiller5765
Same castle used for the filming of Castle Leoch in Outlander! Yay!
  • @Bessie66
I don’t know about the rest of the you tubing community but you seem genuinely nice people that don’t mind taking advice, and at the same time, the feed back is so brilliant for us back in the UK 🇬🇧 seriously thinking about looking into the pods for a short break so Thankyou x
  • @simonmcglary
That scenery is why so many people will tell you to really experience Scotland, get away north and away from the cities. Scotland has so much to offer. The Cuillins are the main mountain range on Skye and the weather forecast for the island famously has two lines. If you can see the Cuillins it’s going to rain, if you can’t see the Cuillins, it’s raining!

I love going to Scotland when its cold. The air is crisp and clean and when you visit somewhere that has a real fire going you just dont want to leave.
  • Hi to all of you, loved seeing you enjoy sky and that you are back in Scotland. I know Jeremy loves the curry sauce and if you want to take it home with you its in the shops Yeungs chinese curry mix if you stop at a coop or Tesco it should have it it is a yellow and red packet and makes loads this is what we use and it tastes the same as a take away. take care and looking forward to seeing what you both get up to next xx Pam
  • @iancowe1882
Come on guys! You passed Eilandonan Castle, the most picturesque and movie film location,, in Scitland!!! Turn back its SO worth it.
  • I was in Skye in May and had beautiful weather. The drive through Glencoe was magical and awe inspiring it takes your breath away. The views from the Old man of Stor are amazing. I stayed in Portree and that was booking a year in advance. Queued for an hour at the harbour chippy for fish and chips but was worth it 😋 on our last day we did the fairy pools...omg that nearly killed me lol. Im in my 60's and the trek was something else, also it was a monsoon that day but ong seeing those waterfalls in spate rushing down the mountain was glorious. Skye has always been on my bucket list and it was something ill never forget ❤
  • Doune Castle! It sounds like you guys were as amazed to be there as I was when I visited.
  • @kevinkvs9746
Awwww seeing the castle where Monty python was filmed makes this video epic 👍🏻🙏🏻 thank you
  • It really pleases me that you don't need the hustle and bustle of a city to enjoy your stay here. Nature is awesome as is Scotland. I'm English. You're clearly two chilled people that love each other's company and the UK. There are worse places in the world to live!
