damn after watching the first season of blood war and reading the manga I feel bad for White, he was really just tryna help the whole time.

i rewatched this byakuya vs ichigo fight so many times as teenager. i remember downloading a new episode every week from a fan bleach site when i was 18. they also did "ghetto/slang" subs for bleach. it was so dope. Instead of a eng sub line like "i was deceived by your skill?" they translator wrote it as "i was da one trippin the whole time?" it had a lot of gems like that for the subs. ahah they did this for every episode. this was 18 years ago

I think it makes a lot of sense now knowing what we know when Byakuya was basically asking his zanpaktou name, he wasn't obliged to answer.
