  • Greatest problem of Yamamoto was his arrogance. He was betrayed by his own ego, once against Aizen and then against Yhwach.

In a sense, Aizen was defeated the same way he defeated Yamamoto. Ichigo was the Wonderweiss of Urahara. They applied the same strategy against a superior foe.

What's crazy is that Aizen was correct when stating that Ichigo should have been much more powerful than he was during this encounter. In the TYBW we discover that Zangetsu has been holding Ichigo back the whole time. Not being specific about Zangetsu to protect ppl from being spoiled.
  • It says quite a lot about Yamamoto that the two greatest existential threats in the Bleach Universe(Aizen and Yhwach) went out of their way and expended considerable time and effort to neutralize him rather than fight him one on one. Aizen tailor made an Arrancar who's sole purpose/power was to seal Yamamoto's Zanpakto flames and Ywhach sent Driscoll to drive him into a blind rage, used a body double and the Bankai theft Medallion. In terms of raw power, Ryujin Jakka is unmatched since activating it for too long at full power can literally destroy an entire plane of existence. To borrow a line from another villain that sums up Aizen and Yhwach on Yamamoto, "No doubt. In a fair fight, you would beat me...but that's not how I got where I am."

"All the battles you've fought... were part of my plan" Cuts to hitsugaya screaming Lmao
  • Yamamoto has been basically used as a plot device throughout bleach rather than as a character. He has undefined strength but when a powerful vilain needs definition, he fights and beats Yama is some way or the other

Urahara : Aizen, your plans are part of my plan.
  • @freshjnew
I genuinely enjoy that Urahara never once let on that he did something else. He fooled Aizen into thinking the wrist seal was it. The most amazing thing to do is to trick your enemy into thinking you have exausted all of your options. Aizen thought Urahara had resorted to thinking on his feet. He does not do that.

Yamamoto was strong but too ingrained in old school 1v1 honorable fighting ways. Aizen was more of a tactician that used whatever means necessary to find a victory.

Aizen is very powerful but I don’t know why people think he would beat Yamamoto in a1v1 Aizen himself admitted Yamamoto is the only shinigami he cannot overpower in combat and talking about just the layer’s shikai Wonderweiss whole reason for existing was to extinguish the flames

The really impressive thing for me here is Aizen's clothing. Whatever his robes are made of is probably the strongest material in the world. Took a Level 96 hado without as much as a burn mark.
  • That's the reason why he created Wonderweiss. Sosuke knew he can't defeat Yamamoto, and Kisuke which is why he made counters for them. Although the moment he absorbed Hyogyoku he can defeat them now although not without getting heavily damaged.
  • @DivisCan
"The fact that your leg still remains intact after being hit by me proves they are special"
  • Yama-ji: If I can't burn you, then these hands will have to do.
  • @starhalv2427
5:55 Aizen was about to drop the biggest spoiler in the history of spoilers, maybe ever
  • @Mrsadgirl99
Wonderweiss: You cant beat me without your fire Old Man GIgachad Yamamoto: Then you get these hands
