An expansive, criminal underworld has swept through the streets of Gotham, and it is now up to these new heroes to protect the city, bring hope to its citizens, discipline to its cops and fear to its criminals. Jason’s absolute impatience and sick to death attitude with the rest of the bat fam really is my favourite dynamic of the cast. It may come from the fact that I think either the script or the voice cast makes the other members come across as a little annoying, but Jason being as tired of listening to them as the player is kinda great 😂. That email where he’s just like “No.” is the best.

Gonna say, one thing WB Montreal does really well from Origins is how rich with history Gotham feels. I loved hidden audio logs in Origins and descriptions tied to architecture and this game in each level has a reminders of history happening long before Batman which resulted in the city that it is now.

The Penguin’s portrait in his office is reminicent of depictions of Napoleon Bonaparte. Specifically, the paintings “Napoleon at the Pont d’Arcole” and “Napoleon à Milan”. The attire being depicted in the office painting seems to be based on Napoleon’s uniform as general. Referring to Oswald’s Napoleon complex?
