When I was six years old, I went on a vacation in Italy with my parents where we visited this street market. Being a boy, I was into monsters and other obscure stuff, so as soon as I saw a t-shirt with Eddie the Monster at the market, I had to get me one, not having a clue what Iron Maiden even was. My dad told me about these guys being this crazy rock ‘n roll band that thrashed hotels on world tours and stuff, and I just thought it sounded so cool. Shortly after we returned home, my dad bought me the Powerslave album for my seventh birthday. I’d only listened to kid’s music up until that point, so this was my first actual CD. As soon as Aces High started playing on the little stereo in my room, I was hooked. It just completely blew me away. The sound, the tempo, Bruce’s vocals. I fell deeply in love with it. My dad traveled a lot with work, so he’d always bring home gifts for my mom and I. One time he’d bought me the full Rock In Rio VHS box (which I still have to this day by the way), and hearing the iconic live version of this song on that tape is something that I’ll never ever forget. I’ve gone through a lot of phases in my 27 years and listened to a whole lot of different music, but I never ever stopped listening to Iron Maiden. It’s weird to see them getting old even though they still sound just as amazing as they did 20- or even more years ago. As I see a lot of people saying in the comments, even though we’ll have to face the fact that these guys will be gone one day, they will live on in our hearts and memories forever. This kind of music is not to be forgotten, and though I might be far younger than a lot of Iron Maiden fans, I’m proud to say that I’ll be happy to make sure their legacy is passed on to generations to come. Long live Maiden.
  • Am I the only one is getting sad for being them getting old, and afraid of loosing them!! :'( Long live maidens! One of the best band of all time! ;)

Fear of the dark is one of those songs that never get old. I could listen to a hundred versions and covers. But Iron Maiden live performances are the best there are.
  • It’s amazing how they still preform it just proves you can never be “too old”
  • you wont see any rapper performing at age of 70 with such energy ! best band ever... always will be

Запомните эти мгновения, пока легенды живы

Эпично, когда ты работаешь электромонтером и ранним осенним утром чинишь свет в своем цеху под эту песню в наушниках.
  • i was talking to my friends the other day and we were discussing wich one of the concerts we have attended that were the best we have been to, and we all concluded that this Maiden concert at Tele2 was the best one either of us had ever been to. I feel so privileged that at 28years old( currently 32) have had the luxury of experincing Iron Maiden in this present time and also when according to my opinion were and still are one of the best live act STILL at this age. You can really feel the love and passion between the Band and crowd. Its undisputed that Iron Maiden still Loves to perform and cares about their fans which make up for an amazing experience. its an unexplainable bond that cant be described with words but has to be seen. Sorry for long post #nohomo

This gotta be one of the greatest songs in existence to be performed live. The chant of the crowd always gives me goosebumps 🤘

бля я один боюсь что через 10 лет вообще таких групп не будет? все легенды уже на пенсии. сейчас такая параша создается. остановите время.

I am a man who walks alone And when I'm walking a dark road At night or strolling through the park When the light begins to change I sometimes feel a little strange A little anxious when it's dark Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a constant fear that something's always near Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a phobia that someone's always there Have you run your fingers down the wall And have you felt your neck skin crawl When you're searching for the light? Sometimes when you're scared to take a look At the corner of the room You've sensed that something's watching you Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a constant fear that something's always near Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a phobia that someone's always there Have you ever been alone at night Thought you heard footsteps behind And turned around and no-one's there? And as you quicken up your pace You find it hard to look again Because you're sure there's someone there Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a constant fear that something's always near Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a phobia that someone's always there Fear of the dark, fear of the dark Fear of the dark, fear of the dark Fear of the dark, fear of the dark Fear of the dark, fear of the dark Watching horror films the night before Debating witches and folklore The unknown troubles on your mind Maybe your mind is playing tricks You sense, and suddenly eyes fix On dancing shadows from behind Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a constant fear that something's always near Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a phobia that someone's always there Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a constant fear that something's always near Fear of the dark, fear of the dark I have a phobia that someone's always there When I'm walking a dark road I am a man who walks alone
