  • Growing up watching this entire crew, I never would’ve imagined Steve-O being the voice of reason

This is really the podcast episode that helped me decide to get sober, going on 14 days strong
  • @LOL-cringe
Bam not quite there yet. He's on the path to recovery but I get the feeling he's saying things that people want to hear.
  • Ran into Bam last week in Sarasota Fl. A few days before I met him my house was destroyed by Hurricane Ian and I had no where to go. My work set my family up with a hotel room to make sure we had a place to sleep. I was feeling real down and ready to hit the bar when I saw Bam in the lobby. We talked for a few minutes and took a pic together. I haven’t smiled in a couple days at that point but he made me smile and cheered me up. Long story short, because that chance encounter, I didn’t go to the bar. If he is trying to better himself than I shouldn’t give up when I’m at my lowest. What probably meant nothing to Bam was a everything to me and he made a big difference. Thank you, Bam, for that. Stay strong, you got this.
  • The last thing Steve-o said almost made cry, "Be supportive" "You´re trying to kill my brother". Shows genuine love and interest for Bams health. Great job Steve, youre a good friend.
  • I have a feeling, Steve O later on in life will be the old guy that none of the youngins believe he was one of the craziest out of the crew. All love fellas.

Steve-O said one thing that sums up this whole episode: "You can't pretend to be in recovery. Its completely obvious."

I can really appreciate Steve’s honesty with bam and ask the difficult questions, while also calling bullshit when he didn’t feel the answers were sincere or beneficial. That’s a real friend.
  • I like how Steve O is not letting him treat this as a joke or just a story telling session he’s actually trying to give him solid advice and keep him accountable
  • That feeling of trying to hold a conversation with someone that you love while they are in the throes of their addiction is heart-wrenching. I could see the pain in Steveo's face a few times as he tried to hold the smile on. I want so badly for Bam to be able to turn his life around.
  • I lived in a half way house for over a year in Venice. One of the most life changing memories of that time was Steve-O coming to our house to share his story to just us 10 guys. This was 14 years ago
  • It blows my mind that Steve-O is now essentially a life coach after all the chaos. It would be deeply beautiful if Bam ends up there too. He's capable and I believe in him.
  • Steve-O is so far into sober living that Bam almost, even now, is a mirror that shows Steve-O the side of him he works so hard to move past. Bam has work to do but he can do it, and I hope he does. It's so good to see that Steve-O is actually of a complete clean slate mindset.
  • Bam speaks like a man that has had sobriety forced upon him instead of choosing it. Genuinely hope he gets better
  • The way Stevo lets Bam speak and responds with such grace and poignancy, while also bringing attention to problematic behavior with concern and empathy, is so masterful. That's recovery. Only someone that was in the hell of a fatal addiction can show this level of compassion and understanding. This was hard work, consistent support, and deep desire to be sober and healthy.
  • Steve-O has grown so much and you can see how much he can see through excuses and BS. If you have been through serious addiction, you can see Bam isn't there yet. So many people can really learn from Steve and his clarity on how to change you mind, lifestyle and genuine empathy for others. Crazy, as a kid for me he was such a wild guy who set the insanity bar so high. As an adult he is someone with such relatable insight to addiction and improving your overall mental and spiritual life. Thanks you Steve O for really helping me and many others for giving people a relatable source for positive content thats still funny and awesome.

All my prayers go out to bam and Steve-o and anyone who is in recovery. It’s the hardest thing I have ever done. 9 years clean here and getting better
  • I love how Stevo-O is brutally honest because he knows exactly what Bam is going through.
  • @AM23.
I think all the "recovered" addicts here know exactly where Bam is right now. He needs that "ah ha" moment still. I pray he comes out on the other side🤞
