Both our GDPs had a similar trajectory, but somehow after the 1980s, china witnessed a hockey stick growth and its GDP skyrocketed to go so far ahead that today, the Chinese economy is almost 5 times that of India! But as we all know, after being 13 years late, all thanks to Dr. Manmohan Singh, India got liberalized in 1991 just like China did in 1978!
And if you see the Chinese economy they witnessed a hockey stick growth exactly 30 years after liberalisation!
Which is from 2008 to 2023!
And now in 2021, we completed our 30 years since liberalisation! So now the world expects India to accelerate and become the second-largest economy in the world! This is the reason why FDI in India is flooding in, foreign investors are pouring in cash, and venture capital firms are burning billions of dollars just to bet on India!
So it's great news right??
Well, not really guys! I dont have great dreams pf wanting India to overthrow China or USA as a superpower but i do hope India will become a developed country that has minimal unemployment and poverty. With good GDP per capita, well mainted infrastructure and 98-99% literacy rate. I want India to stand up on its own with other 1st world countries like Us, uk, Germany, china, japan, s. Korea and others. The corruption to reduce and the wage gap between the rich and poor to reduce.

I don't understand why only hindus are taunted as bhakt who vote for BJP.... Aimim which openly is a muslim party should we call all there voters as Andhnamazi .... BJP still has secular mindset but on other hand more than 10 pure islamic parties are into existence...... All the Hindus should unite because we were oppressed for hundreds of year due to lack of unity among us

China's has significant capex investments outside the country and most of that are dead investments. Example CPEC, Sri Lanka Port, Africa, One Belt Road, etc. However, India is focusing on building its own infrastructure rather venturing into outside world unnecessarily and without having strategic goal. Hence, request to include such points while comparing the data for better insight. Also, I have learned that China's capex investment within the country is also kind of back fired. That's the reason right balance and right choice is required while considering capex investment as this are large in numbers & long payback time. Regular consumption (Non-capex) can be reversed through various reforms and changes however reversing the capex investment will have huge risk and loss.
