NIfty ! I'm sure a 3D printer would be another great alt hobby for me too aside from music & flerf mocking alone. I've wanted one myself for quite a while now. The ONLY thing thats been holding me back is the damn price of good software which you can't even actually "own" anymore in most cases AFAIA. I'm sure the available free stuff & trials & such could get anyone started despite the practically garunteed steeper learning curves but, I could easily see that pissing me off real fast, like prolly halfway into my 1st serious project. I'm sure there are already plenty of tuts for total noobs but still you should do some vids detailing your whole get-up inside & out & some projects from start to finish IMO.
